Without getting Shepard killed?
I'm curious because I want to do a playthrough where almost everybody dies.
What is the largest quantity of squadmates you can get killed...

think you need at least 1 left for Shepard to make it.

One of them has to survive for Shepard to make it.
You can lose 3 by not upgrading your ship. Lose 1 in the pipe, lose 1 to escorting the crew back, lose 1 in the seeker swarm, lose 1 for being bad at leading the second fireteam, and lose 2 on the terminator platform. That leaves 2 to hold the line, and I guess depending on if those 2 are strong enough, they can either hold or they can't and die. (Grunt Zaeed and would likely be able to hold the line. Mordin and Tali wouldn't.)
Best way to do it would be to take one LOYAL squad member into the final battle with you, so that you and he/she can survive.

2. I've heard of some people getting 1 to survive and that squadmate disappears at the Normandy, causing Shepard to die. It is most likely the game doesn't want you to survive when you can't make a full squad.Borschtbeet wrote...
