I felt it wasnt quite as epic as it could have been but I still felt like something awesome was going down when it told me to switch discs
Reminds me of the old days playing Riven and having to swap discs that was always one of my favorite parts because I felt like something intense was about to heppen or it gave me a sense of accomplisment.
I would get a shiver down my spine whenever it said "please insert disc 4"
I hope they put it before a more epic part in ME3
Anyone else here kinda like disc swapping?

PC no disc swapping during the game only installation.

PC and I may come off as elitist but the game loss some of its intended freedom due to your consoles limitations. We still get a port after all of it too

Well, I get what you're saying. There is a pretty kick-ass feeling to changing discs. It's kinda like, WOW! THIS GAME IS SO FREAKIN' BIG IT COULDN'T FIT ON ONE DISC! WHAWHAWHAAA?!
But to be honest, I didn't like it for ME2, simply because two discs destroyed the opportunity to recruit every character in any order you wished.

I bought the game from Direct2drive so everything is on my hard drive but I know what you mean. I remember how excited I was playing Final Fantasy VII and it told me to change discs after a particularly exciting conclusion to the last disc.

6 discs, switching out the disc every time I wanted to travel. Actually spending more time swapping discs than playing the game.

Not to sound fanbooyish but it plays better with joysticks
The swap points are ok. I am totally ok with having to switch disks twice.

Thats purely objective the legitimate points to why consoles are better is that it doesn't require much knowledge on the part of the player with no need for system maintenace and other simple task that are often portrayed as complicated (not an insult just put the disc in and play) as well as the fact that you can hook it up to a big tv and sit in a sofa. although it is possible to hook up a computer to a big tv it just requires more steps.
as far as controls go for games like mass effect its a matter of preference but i prefer mouse and keyboard due to having 8 hotkeys instead of 3 easier weapon switching and squad control as well as better aiming controls with the mouse. probing is easier since you use a mouse as well

Eh not really.. I have the lame 20 gb hard drive, and I love how fast the game loads when its saved to the harddrive.
So with 12 gb for the two discs and what I need for the Zaeed DLC I'm running pretty low, basically when Bioware comes out with the 1gb+ dlc, I'm gonna have to upgrade to a bigger one or just save whatever disc I'm using to the harddrive and delete the other one each time.

In my opinion it isnt that big of a deal, since if you play just 1 character, and do a whole play through, you only swap disks twice. It does get really old really fast though after youve beaten the game quite a few times and hate having to switch disks when switching back and forth between characters whos progress's are far from each other.

At least with a XBOX 360 you don't need to constant upgrade your computer just get the requirment specs for the game. Some of us can't afford that.

I definitely think Its a thing that can either work or not
like In Riven I didnt have to go back a whole lot and I didnt know what was coming next so it added mystery
But with ME2 I didnt really feel that mystery
probably because I spent way too much time learning about the game before it came out
for ME3 Im gonna try to learn nothing about the story so I go ito it like I did ME1
then the disc swaps will be more exciting
