Still, however, I'm utterly frightened by the level of obsession I've seen on these forums. Some people are, amongst other things, really far too eager to "tap" those pixels. Not that I wish to offend anyone, but... The "Tali Lurv" thread frightens me.
... It's a GAME. >_>

Haha, awesome.
I guess he's become so obsessed with making cameos that he has started to invade media he had no part in creating

I think my usual way will prove to be the headshot, in the end. But there's something about her roasting in the engine room fire, that's so fitting...

ah yes, pixel love
That takes me back
I was on a mission once to infiltrate a heavily defended fortress called outer heaven and rescue a teamate. Not the first time I was betrayed on a mission. Had to shoot my way through heavily armored mechs and mercs once they triggered the trap, but not before I made sure that my associates didn't make it out alive. Hard to explain when I got back though, guess its hard to trust some mercs.

Somehow I just can't see them killing off or relegating Garrus, Tali and so on to background characters for the finale.

There are lots of people who feel that way, even plenty of people who like Tali and think that her romance plot is the best. I personally think that Tali is an excellent character and, personality-wise, is my most preferred romance. That said, I only rarely skip into the Tali thread, and usually leave immediately. I don't like fanfics or fanart, and find all the fawning to be rather juvenile.
But I also think too many people end up letting their feelings about the fans reflect on their feelings about the character. Furthermore, the Tali fans generally keep to their own thread, it isn't like they're out sh*tting on other characters threads, or making endless threads on the front page. In fact, I see more stupid "I hate Tali" threads cluttering this site than "I love Tali" threads. There is really only one of those.
In other words, get over it. A lot of people like Tali's character. Who cares? They aren't doing anything to you. Why keep making posts like this to express your dislike of the character or the fans? As Saren would say, this thread has no purpose.

It was not my intent to offend those fans. Like I said, I like the character myself and was happy to see her return in ME2. It's just that this level of obsession is somewhat unhealthy, in my opinion. (Juvenile is another way to describe it.)Pauravi wrote...

But yes, I do suppose the obsession appears to go both ways.

I also love Tali as a character, but I don't think there's anything "wrong" with the OP making a thread stating his dislike of Tali, or anyone agreeing with him. That's what's cool about the forums: they get people talking about the story and the characters, and there is a wide range of views and opinions. The people who disagree didn't come on the Tali thread and try to harass the fans: they're doing it on their own thread which is completely fine by me.

Sadly there's not an option for that in game, if only I could actually have her meet the turian on the Citadel docks that can't get through with his serrated blade. I mean he could always park that baby in Tali's skull and get it back after leaving.

there is a way in the game send her through the vent at the Collector's base or let her get taken away by the seeker sworms at the base
