Also, something that Legion said really struck me... that quote he took from Sovereign in ME1. The idea that using their technology is what allows the Reapers to control us in the first place. I hadn't thought too deeply about the things Sovereign said until Legion mentioned them, and I think that it is a wise outlook. Take your own path to the same end, and you can avoid being blinded and controlled by the path that another took.

Still, it's your story man - only you can decide what's right and what's not.

Plus, as another poster (Pauravi) has already mentioned, Legion's words on what Sovereign said is very telling, and I think the pinning screw to the entire plot.

If you salvage it, basically your crew hates you, from what ive heard, ive never salvaged it through any of my playthroughs, like after beating the game your put back on the normandy right? Go talk to your squad mates and hear what they think about you keeping it, when i destroyed it i got praises from everyone, im guessing its the opposite if you keep it, plus im not a fan of the ol illusive man. Harbringer does say (when you destroy it) "that which you see as reapers are your salvation through destruction" and something just sounds fishy about that.
They don't hate you, they just question whether it was the right dsecision.
I almost always salvage it.

Hence why i said "from what ive heard", it was just a guess. Considering you get all praises for destroying it, i figured theyd be against you for keeping it.

There's no 2nd chance with the reapers. If you don't win, all advanced life in the galaxy goes bye bye. Even If I knew for a fact that TIM wanted to make a reaper, I'd still salvage it, then deal with TIM after I took care of the reapers. Even if I found out that TIM was working for the reapers, I'd still salvage it, then I'd bring the alliance in to take control.
You just don't f**k around with the reapers, don't take chances. Anything you can get working for you is extremely valuable. You can deal with the consequences later.

Lost Tali holding the line. While it hurts, thats the way of life. I don't see the point of going after a perfect playthrough, it just ruins the excitement and tension of the story.
She will be remembered.

And, lest we forget, we're turning that base over to one of the most sociopathic individuals we know.

there's actually a poll on this somewhere on the forums. i know when i took part in it earlier today it was 76% destroyed it (over 300 votes) and 24% saved it (~100 votes)
I think without the paragon/renegade system the numbers would be more even. Personally I think choices should be kept multifaceted and komplex, rather than labeled blue or red.
