So I've let the dust settle for a couple days since all the 1.01 issues, but I do want to update my game.
My question is have the two biggest issues with 1.01 been solved in 1.01a? Specifically:
1. Did the start-up issues get resolved with it?
2. Will my DLC (I have every piece of DLC minus Warden's Keep) continue to work?
Both these problems were brought up on the forums yet it seems to have quieted down, both points are very important to me, the first is self explanatory but the second is that I intend to use Shale throughout the entire game, so him suddenly being inaccessible would leave me waiting for another patch to fix it.
The DLC Menu ingames says "Game Version Required: 1.0", so that worries me slightly.
Any input/experience would be appreciated.
TIA!

I'm not sure the patch fixed anything of note
Personally I have no idea because I've just had to re-install the game ( which was working perfectly apart from the DLC quests being corrupt ). After Patch install the launcher starts but when I attempt to play it says the game will not start because dlls are missing from my system. All the DLLs are in my game folder and if I put them in the system 32 folder this fixes the issue until it comes to bink32 which it says is either in the wrong folder or missing when it's in the right folder.
So it's up to you but be prepared for the patch to break your game.
- fixed potential corruption of character statistics
- fixed portrait appearance sliders when importing a character from the downloadable Character Creator
- fixed import for preset face settings from the downloadable Character Creator
- made Easy difficulty easier
- slightly increased attack, defense, and damage scores for all party members at Normal difficulty
- fixed video issues when running on a very wide screen display, including ATI Eyefinity displays

DLC will continue to work. Version 1.01a still has the memory leak issue but it does fix exactly what it lists there.
I have had no new issues pop up since upgrading to 1.01a. And the patch did not break the game for me or cause any new issues.
