I just wonder, do any of you guys think that well ever see a prothean and i dont mean like just see how they look like. I mean the ancestors of the scientists, because I think its a great add to the story if a prothean showed up in the ME3 and It wouldnt be so impossible due to the fact that protheans were about to be able to stop the citadel relay?

See: collectors.

The way interpreted it was that the reapers only changed their internal functions, not their exterior.

The Collectors are not visibly similar to the Protheans. Example: in the beacon visions and on the above statues, the protheans all have tentacles coming out of their mouths or heads. On a side mission in ME2, you see the same vision with a Collector attacking them, with a very different sillouhete than the Protheans.

Protheans are extinct, the machine on Ilos explains how they died, and the handful of them that survived managed to fix the signal that caused the keepers to summon the Reapers. (and then they died of starvation =D)

The Collectors are all that is left of the protheans and they have been completely changed by the reapers.

Lets be legit and not try to alter storylines for your of coolness brah.
