- An option to modify characters girth, particularly around the middle

There is something really weird with the backs of these bodies, it's like there's a plank in the back, watch Dalish females from the side they are all trunk, there's no arch in the back at all as there should be.

That's my one and only complaint about the character models so far, though adding scrars would be cool too considering where these people live. :)

next to a lighter skintone that is possible now, a darker one would also be welcome, along with really black hair instead of very dark brown so that very black characters can be created as well.

Also, I noticed with human beards that, once you select one that's not stubble, it resorts the cheek fullness to default. Could something be done about that?

- An option to modify characters height, as all people are not the same size
- An option to modify characters girth, particularly around the middle
- Better lighting when selecting eye color, as all the choices look the same

Aside from that I thought it was excellent. Anyone else care to add to the list?

I too was thinking that you should be able to fix the  height of your character. Also I think the
eyelashes are WAY to long. :)

I think the palest skin tone is pretty damn pale actually, considering the bad lighting in the CC tool. Many of the people in the actual in-game dialog footage look pasty white to be sure.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm pretty sure I was wrong about the scars.

I'd settle for saving that actually works.

I'll put my vote in for long hair (again), and hope that a modder makes me happy.

Its all great asking for requests but the game has 17 days til release so this is the final and no addition or modifications will be made to the game that is unless you do it with the toolset.

I dont really have any trouble, it good the way it is. you can vary much much MUCH more than mass effect, and even the sims.

I'm statisfied with the character creator, but I will agree that it would be nice to have more variety of hair and tattoo styles, and the lighting was a little dark which made it hard to distinguish and select eye color but playing with the gamma helped a little on that.

I find these sliders difficult to use. Especially on the color side - i mean; can you find ''blue eyeshadow' without pulling the slider all the way trough, slowly--. I wish they'd drop some of those sliders and rather add colortoolset with all the freaking colors they can fit (example Soul Calibur colors go 32*32=1024 colors, so if you don't like purple skin, don't use it, i won't either though - but for a whole let of other colorable things).
I guess the lip shape is as it is so you don't look siamese when kissing - that's great, but i wish they'd have a few more options on at least eyes, and the eyelashes, and hair! Feels like there are 5 hairstyles with different modifications to them and same with eyes - 5-6 eyeshapes.
Thank you, for reading!! :3
And don't get me wrong. I liked this.
Edit: And i'm not hung up on Kissing. Proving a point.

There's always a lack of curly or kinky hair in games.. hopefully someday this will change.

Scars would be neat but would really be great if you could get them in game.

I really agree with the lighting for the eyes.. I can barely tell what color eyes there are. Green, Brown and Black are all I've been able to identify. Most just look black.

-More hair types than straight

-Longer hair

-Eye and Eyebrow shapes

-Weight and height option

-More skin tones in the middle. It seems to jump from tan to dark

-Eye colors

-Scars

-Lip movement looks distorted

Has anyone else noticed that when you edit or modify a character it's lost it's Voice preset and background and expressions on the portrait? Maybe those settings just can't save yet..

In regards to skin color, I think more shades would be nice, but I would also love a tone slider. That way you could get yellower, bluer, or pinker tones.

I agree about white and black hair, and also real blonde hair. There's only light brown right now.

Scars. More tattoos and tattoo colors. More hairstyles. More options in general I guess.

More facial control over mouth shape, ears flat to the head or sticking out (I'm thinking this may have been clipping issues), height of the bridge of the nose, and forehead size (height and width).

And definitely the ability to change the angle of the eyebrows- so we can make angry characters or surprised looking characters.

Whew, a lot of things... I know there are more, too, but really they're pretty picky. I think the creator overall works well and can create a lot of different looks. I do hope it will be expanded with future patches/mods though.

it always resets the voice from what i've experienced, but if you go to edit a character and the portrait has reset, more often than not coming back out to the bit where you select the character to be edited then going back in sets it in the last-used portrait settings. At least it does for me.

I think everyone will get a bit of a surprise (in regards to skin tone) once they take their character out into the 'sunlight'. The generation room is rather darkly lit and by yellow saturated torchlight at that.
If I could add anything to this list of a character generator requests it would be an option to switch lighting while creating a character.

I second that. It's difficult to distinguish subtle differences in skin tones and all eye colors appear dark.

Well while all of this might be nice I have to agree that with only a couple of weeks until release this must be pretty much final.

Who know's maybe they will add more hair styles, tatoos later I'm sure they would be easy to mod in but for long hair styles be prepared for really bad intersection with the body during some animations, that is why they are generally avoided in RPGs.

Bring in different lip shapes; I loved that feature in mass effect, the mouth is one of the center pieces on a face, and dismissing it as just lip thickness and mouth width isn't IMO doing it justice, there ARE different basic shapes to it.
 o_o

And hey, just cause the game's near release doesn't mean that comments and ideas are worthless, Bioware can always put in more stuff through patches and DLC. o_o

More variation is needed in the hair colours that aren't shades of red. I mean there's what, one grey, one fair, one light brown, one very dark brown, one bluish grey black and three or four different shades of ginger. Surely browns should have the most variation as they're the most common.

I also agree on various other issues but nobody else seems to have mentioned how ginger-o-centric the character creator is.

Also once again Bioware prove their inability to do ear lobes. This one's niggling as  afew of the NWN2 heads had it too. A person either has ear lobes or they do not. The Dragon Age heads all have ear lobes on the left ear and the right ear is always lobeless. Personaly I find lobeless ears unpleasant and distateful but that's not important. What is important is that both ears should match one way or the other. What we've currently got is unnatural.

The ability to rotate or set the angle of the eyes and eye brows plus ability to adjust the depth of the eye sockets would be nice and probably a fix for the brow depth setting: at the moment it's more like a forehead dent setting.

I wouldn't mind some more messed up hairdos they seem to well groomed, and also proper mutton chops.. you know like Liev Schreiber and Hugh Jackman in Wolverine.

I'd like more hair choices for blacks, please. Too much straight, flat hair. Maybe there aren't many blacks in Thedas, but you'd think they'd at least have more hair styles.
