I know a lot of people loved Zaeed, I can't stand him and only got him on my first play through. To each their own I suppose. We got him killed by not doing his loyalty mission and then having him escort the doc and the others back in the suicide run, they all lived but alas, poor Zaeed met his Maker.

Zaeed's kinda sucky. I only bring him on garrus' mission to hear his dialouge with Tarak. other than that he stays in his cargo hold.

I agree with you guys, I can't stand him either and so I regret installing his DLC. I can't NOT do his loyalty mission because I've done everyone else's and have acquired the IFF, now Legion's loyalty mission being unlocked depends on whether or not I do Zaeed's.

Have I done the missions in the wrong order or something?

If I knew how much I would despise him, I wouldn't have installed the DLC in the first place.

I'm nearly at the end of what I like to call my first perfect run so I really don't want to start over... if the saves are compatible, I'd consider backing up the saves, reinstall ME2 without Zaeed's DLC and continuing without him.

It's probably better if I can kill him now though, hopefully it will prevent him coming back in ME3 if the developers take that route.

Yup, I'm still waiting for the opportunity to leave that cocky hasbeen to burn in the flames. He talks tough but he's just another merc like the hundreds of others I've "pwned".

I have to admit, when I left him to die in the refinery I was expecting a horrific death with lots of screaming and the sound of sizzling fat, like in Gears of War 2 when someone gets toasted by the flamethrower.

Doesn't he tell you a bunch of stories about his friends and fellow mercs getting killed on missions? It's a wonder he didn't get everyone on the fire team killed instead! Guess it was just his turn.
