The solution is add a free DLC adding back the weapons you gained and have there stats upgraded and also give you a chance/quests to upgrade those items. I mean all that ore we have to gather in this game and we can't upgrade the armor we know and love?

Oh come on Bioware cant you just patch the rest of the DLC for us to use in Awakening? and before you say "just use some guys mod", I dont own the PC version I got the 360 version, and I want my Starfang and Blooddragon Armor and I dont care what you say that we will get more powerfull weapons and Armor, reason I want those is because I find them Cool looking on my Character. so yea I dont care if they are powerfull or not.

Starfang does not get imported. While I know many of you see it as a great and/or powerful weapon (which it is in DA:O), it quicky becomes "out-powered" by new weapons in Awakening.

Still, I'm sure some people will spend a lot of time patching it into Awakening only to come to the same conclusion.

Basically you just put out a great argument for why we should never buy any DLC from you.

And secondly, the patch only took a couple days to come out.  It's a trivial fix to a trivial problem.  If you guys handled it maturely, there wouldn't be this outrage.  Instead, you come in, insult the customer by being condescending, literally rob us of our money and then tell us why it's a good thing.

Finally, no one but the player should decide which and what equipment becomes outdated or not.  I did not wear a helmet in Origins because, frankly, they all were horrible.  I didn't want to look at a fricking cone head all game.  And that's just one example of one player deciding what equipment is useful or not.  To take that choice away from me (and selectively at that) is just the height of arrogance.  Why bother with equipment?  Why not just give everyone the optimal equipment at each level or area?  If you think we are too dumb and stupid to figure it out (judging by your message), then you might as well equip our characters.

Er, a lot of time?  There's a 1kb script file that re-enables all DLC content in Awakening (if you play on a PC).  Yeah, that took a long time.

I am about 5-6 hours into the game and Starfang would still be the most powerful sword for a two handed warrior. Oh well, meteor sword isn't bad either but....

You'll soon find better. Trust me. They all seem to be from a single quest though which is a little annoying.

The items not transfering is the only reason I haven't rushed to buy awakening yet. I got starfang at the very end of my warrior tank game (inc DLC) so have never had any chance to use it.

If the mentioned patch comes though I will happily shell out the many MS points it costs to DL it.

Guess I 'll just add my voice to the ever growing chorus. I very much would like the option of importing ALL previous DLC into Awakenings, including Starfang, and Warden Commander's Armor. And PLEASE Bioware, allow all past and future DLC to be accessible and editable via the toolset.

I work as a pizza dude. If I refused to carry soda because it "Cost to much" (and it does only a five percent profit) then my customers would go somewhere else because they are hungry and thirsty. Releasing DLC that isn't compatible with future DLC is just bad business. Bioware I'm terribly disappointed in the way you have handled DAO as a whole. I certainly hope you get to patching the game because honestly i'm starting to question your dedication to your games...

Yes.   And You have a longer wait than that ahead of you.  There are many 'good' two handed weapons in Awakening.  But none as good as Starfang until   this ONE  greatsword  you find much later in the game... and even that one  requires that you scour for "ingredients" then have Wade forge it.

Does that image say that the powers of blood from WK import correctly?

If it does, it's mistaken. My powers of blood are nowhere near correct. Doesn't even say "Powers of Blood" in the spells and skills tab. Says "class not found", and the spells themselves either 1) do nothing at all or 2) cause my character to float up in the air like he should be spewing blood, and THEN do nothing. (Edit, I suppose this could be another bug, though).

Finally, if the value of an item was determined exclusively by the modifiers that ended up being added to a stats page somewhere, I would agree with the sentiment that "it doesn't matter because there's better stuff to be found anyway". It isn't, however, and so I don't. :)

Magnum Opus, the Powers of Blood imported properly for me. although i am ashamed that they didn't add anything to the 2 blank spots. a well known problem with WK and Awakening on consoles and some PC users is that this the Sentinel Armor set; all but the helmet looks like Warden Commander armor and this sword called Vigilance looks like StarFang although it's stats stay the same it just has StarFang's texture. another bug is that this Rogue armor called Black Blade armor is bugged because the dungeon that is supposed to contain all 4 pieces to the set are missing the boots and gloves, only the tunic and helm can be found i hear. i am taking a break from Awakening until they get a lot of the big glitches fixed.

I'm not so sure, when I play awakening I always used Maric's sword.  I mean the only other sword worth replacing it would be dumat's spine or vigilance but what if you use duel weilding with 2 swords?  Maric's blade comes with a lot of stat extras.

A bit confused here - I have my Cailan's armor in Awakening, but not Starfang. Isn't this a bit...weird?

I respect Bioware's decision and surely, it would be overpowered in a few play-hours, but the whole thing remains a bit weird: Why Cailan''s armor remains, or even Maric's Blade, whereas Starfang does not?

WHY WON'T YOU FIX THIS BIOWARE!!!! Heck, I'm willing to breakdown and pay for the patch/DLC on Xbox 360.

It's been a while since we have heard from Bioware about this, could anyone from Bioware confirm or deny if they are still looking into patching the DLC?

What about the dexterity glitch on consoles? Is that going to get fixed anytime soon?

Head over to Dragonagenexus. There is a mod that lets you import your items (although I forget its name).

I used a mod to get the Starfang to carry over, and Priestly's words did not ring true. I never came accross any longsword, generic or unique, that led me to unequip the Starfang.

Well, I've just bought Dragon Age Origins and so far have enjoyed. I was considering purchasing some of the downloadable content, but I'm glad I read this. I will avoid now.

DLC does transfer over to awakening, hence why i still have Duncans Sword. Bioware just dropped the ball on this and refuse to patch it
