Do they owe us?

No

Should we be patient?

Yes

Can unexpected delays happen?

Yes

Is it bad for Bioware if they say there will be something by date and time X, but when date and time X arrives there is nothing and no word on why?

Of course

So while it's in their best interest to try to meet this self-created deadlines, it does not mean we as customers are entitled to anything.

javierabegazo is the biggest Bioware shill ever. What did you expect? The guy defines fanaticism.

Bioware promised a lot of ****, but didn't deliver, yet there legions of fanboys defend them vigorously and to their deathbeds.

They promised a DLC at an undisclosed date with the Hammerhead and possibly a new character.

Judge says: Case dismissed.
I'm sorry, but we don't have a reason to complain

They actually said on the forums to expect more DLC by the end of the month.   Not that I really care if it's slipped or not.

Isn't Javiar just a Forum mod, not actually paid by Bioware? (unless I'm mistaken). Pretty sure he doesn't speak with the official voice of Bioware.

And in his posts that I read, he didn't confirm anything. Was merely speculating. Lighten up on him.

But when they say "coming in two weeks and no that shotygun/armor was not it" and it does not come or god forbid a RTO situation.
Well, it makes me want to punch a waffle.

So the answer is to bend over and take whatever someone gives you, even if you don't like it?  Or maybe there are those that choose to express dislike of something in the hope (however small) that it gets changed.  Maybe not today but maybe before they do the same or worse with ME3

The expectations you people put out is retarded.   This is a single player game, you got what you payed for.  You think your opinion matters? Write a letter. Don't buy future bioware products.    Whining on the internet is literally the most pitiful thing you could do, bar none.

Nobody is giving it to you.    You guys are whining, plain and simple.   If a company was "giving it to you", your perfectly free to not buy their product.    Your just a tool ****ing under some juvenile self-entitlement.  If someone was anally raping you, I hope you would do more then whine.      The only thing your getting changed is future DLC getting announced in advance.

Making an appeal to a corperate entity comes in two forms.   The first one is an request, the other is a demand.   The first is something you want, and will strengthen your trust in the company, the second is something you want more desperately, and whos ommitance will effect your chances of buying future products.

This is neither.    Biowares delay of DLC is not going to effect your purchase of future bioware games.    Nor are you making a request of anything specific, unless that request happens to be "Don't announce any of your free content in advance, my ten year old mind is incapable of the concept of patience".    What your doing is whining, and is completely pointless.

Also, Javier is a volunteer moderator who is not employed by Bioware, nor does he work in their offices.    He obviously isn't in a psotion to be making public statements of any kind, and you obviously aren't possessing the mental health to realize that he was speculating.

I hope javier learns an important lesson from this though.   People are retarded, and will intentionally miscontrue anything and everything you say.    Live and learn, this is why you aren't biowares payed moderator ;)

I was reading an interview w/ Casey Hudson and he said that the plan to release DLC all the way up until the release of ME3. We have to be patient, the game is 2 days away from 1 month anniversary. We've gotten 3 different DLC packages (Zaeed, Normandy Crash Site, and the Cerberus armor and shotgun). I'd say we're pretty lucky to get all of that within the 1st month, compared to only 2 DLC releases for ME within 2 years.

Patience :)

"Bend over and take whatever someone gives you?"

Not exaggerating things there a bit, are you?

So, if someone (even a company) were to say "expect our next product in spring 2011" and then no product appears in spring 2011, did that someone "bend you over and expect you to take it?"
Take what?  A missed release date?  What did that cost you?  Anxiety?  Anticipation?  What, did you take off all of spring from work to eagerly await the release of the game?  Had you been planning your wedding in spring but put it off until fall, and then your fiance left you because you delayed your wedding for a product release?

How, exactly, is (creating a similar hypothetical situation here) Bioware saying "expect an announcement on Friday" and then Sunday rolls around with no announcement harming you even in the slightest?  How are they forcing anything on you?  Did you sit around all day waiting on Friday, not going out, not eating, not even visiting the can, all but holding your breath for a forum post that might have said "new planet with new half-hour mission will be available in 6 months" or "a new t-shirt is available NOW on XBOX Live for your avatar!"?  Isn't that really your fault if you did that? And if not a day of wasted time sitting waiting for a forum post, what could you POSSIBLY have lost?

Nevermind that this outrage is silly since it's from an unpaid moderator's comment (apparently) -

if the co-founders themselves had made the exact same unrealized "promise" - WHAT DOES IT MATTER?

What is wrong with you that being anally raped is comparable to not being given an announcement about an upcoming game DLC? :?

Ok, so we've had the "we're owed something" group express themselves.
We've had the "your dumb" people express their disdain for the first group.

...

Is that it? Are we on the other side of this now?

I find this meme much more entertaining than the "I'm commander Shepard and..."

It just always seems to apply and sounds as arrogant as humanly possible.

DEAR LORD, IT IS NOT EVEN THE END OF THE WEEK YET!

Oh course im not concerned as you guys are about the Hammerhead, Bioware released it last week for those of us who have Mass Effect 2 for their Atari 2600. Oh course I feel for the PC and Xbox users out there, I understand that you feel like you got shafted. But at the end of the day you have to realize Combines are from science and outter space and hate humens.

There is no reason for Bioware to set a deadline unless they are sure that they can fullfill it. It would be worst if they set a date and end up dissapointing us if they are unable make it or release a buggy DLC as result.
