Hi all,

I just want to recap.

We've released Zaeed, the Normandy Crash, Cerberus Shotgun and Armor. Were these high quality peices of free content? Yes.

There will be more on the way. When? We will be able to announce details pretty soon - but i want to reiterate how committed to quality we are. It would be easy to announce something and deliver on a promised date with lacklustre quality. That's not how BioWare does it.

I really liked zaeed, and Normandy crash. The shotgun was o.k. The armor pretty much sucked from lack of helm toggle. Anyhow its good to hear that we will hear something soon on the new dlcs. Its pretty much a testiment to the good work bioware does that folks get so riled up. Personally, I plan on waiting for my next playthrough until the next dlc is released. That way I ether get Kassumi(sp?) or APC to drive around in. Or best of both worlds, Kassumi in the new APC!

I think most people just want to be updated regularly. Don't you guys have a blog like Valve does?

Also having fans that are TOO passionate about your products can't be a bad thing ;)

For the company? Of course not.

For the individual employees who have to deal with us directly? Heh, I think they deserve some extra appreciation on occasion.

classy :D

Mr. Peanut would be proud, old boy.

Frankly, It's killing me that I can't get much info on DLC, but i think nowadays devs tend to go into over kill mode by giving all possible info out well before a game is released, And i think you guys should just go the way of Blizzard and end all discussions with the venerable word:

Soon.

Doubting that really. Its better then nothing, but not by much. Could have said, we expect release this month? Next month or the following month? "Soon" has never been a very good indicator on when a thing is going to be released. I am being reminded on Return to Ostagar, and how "soon" that was.

:P That's all I was asking.  (anti-whiners be damned)  If you promise something, I don't ask or even demand you give it on a certain time table, just follow it up with a bit of info, even if it just's something to the extent of they're working to fix problems with it. Sometimes that requires asking nicely, sometime it means creating a stir, even making comments about bending over to inflame a situation.
:innocent:

Buying or not buying BW future games isn't always the situation. Some of us here aren't 18yr olds, and are in fact stock market investors in addition to being gamers.  BW is part of EA games, a publically traded company.  Oh wait, capitalism is the root of everything they do. Hmmm...

Lol. If they've taught us anything, it's that for non-story decisions, paragon and renegade both work equally well, no?

Zaeed; a character without recruitment mission and basic ("basic" defined as "to the same extent as all other squaddies") dialogue.

Cerberus Shotgun & Armor; a near-OP (arguably OP, period) piece of weaponry awarded for simply booting up the game and an armor hardly anyone is using, because there's a bucket glued on (similar to all Armor DLC).

Normandy Crash Site.. yeah, that was pretty neat. It wasn't big, grand or extremely special, but it had a feeling to it and it fit well into the story. Only thing I can complain about is the way the mission is handed out out of the blue at the start of the game. I would've recommended delaying it until at least a mission was done, so it'd feel more natural to recieve it, but yeah.. Normandy Crash Site was nice.

If you were truly committed to DLC, you'd treat DLC as natural expansions of the game, not as mods to be glued on.

Except Zaeed is a mercenary so he doesn't need to be recruited, he took your money, recruitment mission over.

If I may ask the devs an open question: When you released ME2 (and to some extent, ME1), had you already planned what the DLC would be, or has that developed over time? If not, is there any particular reason for not including say Zaeed in the original game? How much more DLC for ME2 can we expect, approximately? I am particularily interested in knowing wether or not there will be new characters that might change the final battle or other aspects of the game.

To be fair, return to ostragar was not worth the wait.    Or any paid DLC for that matter =_=
