Mark Meer is actually pretty brilliant in ME2, especially when playing renegade

Mark Meer still recieves a bit of flak from the hard headed fans because of the first game, he might have seemed a little flat, but come on, Shepard is a military soldier. It suits.

Shale on the other hand, might have been director's fault, really lacked the finer things in her voices and constantly used only one flat voice, worse than the ME shepard.

I'll tell you who really sucked besides Tali was that God damn Kal'Reegar. It was totally out of place. It would've worked well if he were an Alliance soldier but it felt totally out of place on a Quarian.

You're flat out lying, Hale constantly uses subtle inflections where Meer uses a flat monotone,

So true. I love how the entire Quarian fleet is basically the cast of Dragon Age Origins. When I heard Loghain, and then Morrigan, I realized who the REAL badguys were in this game.

Quarians are EVILLL. EEEEEEEEEEEEEVIIIIIIIILLLL.

Kinda. Tho' that could be easily remedied, I think, by giving him heavier/cooler looking armor...and a bigger gun (something like an M-60. Can't go wrong w/ Animal Mother!  )

Mark Meer's voice acting almost had me sleeping on the couch.

I was trying to get my fiancee into Mass Effect and was showing her the importable saves. She got more than a little upset when she realized that all of the MaleSheps were paragons and all renegade playthroughs were FemSheps (there were some paragon Femsheps, too).

I had to explain to her that it wasn't misogyny, it was all because of the voice actors.

Jennifer Hale does a good paragon and her renegade sounds like a bad-ass.
Mark Meer does a good paragon, but his renegade sounds like an ass.
Big difference.

(although both have some facepalm-worthy readings when getting romantic)

 I think Mark Meer and Jennifer hale are both brilliant, and i enjoyed all the VA in ME2.

And by the way any critique I make on Meer in ME2 is based on his work in ME2.
Improved monotone is still monotone.

What?!? Xen isn't Evil! She's the only hope of the Quarians! The only reason I didn't destroy the Heretic Geth is so the Geth that will be under the Quarians will be of a greater number! :lol:

He has some good ones, and he's not soul-crushingly awful as some would have it,  I'll give him that, but you seriously think THAT one is "brilliant".  I question your judgement, sir.

renegade female shepard voice sucked she was better suited to be paragon it seems like she was trying too hard im not saying jennifer hales voice sucked because i think in me 1 it was better

Male Shepard. Not that terrible, but not very impressive.



Several NPCs, voiced by Yuri Lowenthal. Hate that guy with a burning passion, he's one of the worst voice actors I've heard. I actually banged my head against my desk when I heard him in a trailer.
