Mark Meer was a fantastic discovery for me, since I didn´t know his acting before ME. I think Jennifer Hale (who is one of the best) didn´t quite find a good Shep in ME1. She sounded too deep, and without being able to pass many emotions because of it. Maybe the tone she tried didn´t allow her to. She is much better in ME2. But Meer is absolutely brilliant as Shep. He can pass every emotion, and has a determination that suits the character perfectly.

I would say that Grunt´s voice isn´t my favorite. It´s not bad acted, but specially his "I am Krogan!" shouts during the fights can get tiresome. And it´s said, because he is a great "tank" character to have around. They should have hired Michael Dorn for it, and not just for a cameo.

I would disagree, but thats the great thing about opinion's, we can disagree and both be right at the same time.

I have not played a maleShep but I have seen a lot of vid's online and most of his dialog, at least for renegade is pretty good.  I think he messes up whenever he has to do emotional or romantic dialog, I remember the romance scene with Tali when Shep says "Come here!" and I almost died laughing at how horrible it sounded.

Hmm, yeah. Also, who ever does the "WHOOOOOOOOAAAAAAA!"... That guy deserves a medal.

Oh my god. That made me think of the ship captain on the mission with Julia the crazed biotic from ME1!!! lmao. I don't even know how to spell the sound he made but it definitely wasn't "arghhhhhh" like the subtitles stated.

Grunt. It got to the piont where I am no longer unfreezing him.

It may not be the voice acting as much as the script....

Definitely Navigator Pressly. Even though he had like two lines.

"Four days searching up and down this sector, and we haven't found ANY sign of geth activity"

Worst line delivery by far.

There was something completely unnatural about Carrie-Anne Moss' voicework as Aria.

Just didn't work for me.

I always laugh at the guy who yells "STOP!" at the end of the Jack's mission. Seriously it's just like the "A DUD" guy from Metal Gear Solid 2. Terrible terrible.

I don't get why everybody hates Mark Meer so much though, I think he's awesome. =S

The worst has to go to whoever did the voice acting for Commander Santiago- head of the Blue Suns from Zaheed's loyalty quest. He sounded like an actor in a gay porn movie (don't ask me how I know that.)

you're not the only one. Maybe we just have better hearing and/or speakers.

I hear the inflection in his voice just fine. Does not sound robotic to me at all.

Who do you think was the worst voice actor?

I'll
have to say Tali because her fake Eastern European accent sounded so
stupid and the delivery of her lines felt so unnatural and forced like
when she said "I need to feel your skin against mine."

Also,
Tali's voice actor Liz Sroka does not know how to show emotion.  When
she was crying it sounded more like she was laughing.  Speaking of
laughing, that is what I did when she died because her "AUWWWGHHHH!"
was so fake sounding that I couldn't help but burst into laughter.

So
yeah, Bioware shold consider hiring some better voice talent for Tali.
They got the likes of Martin Sheen, Yvonne Strahkovski, and Carrie Anne
Moss to sign on so surely their budget restraints can't be that huge.

Of course, if we're lucky we won't even see Tali at all in Mass Effect 3.

Anyways, yeah thats my opinion.  Who do you guys think was the worst voice actor/actress?

Kaiden Alenko's voice. My opinion. Seriously, you should listen how he says "Lilith" during Horizon. It sounds like he is straining to push poop out of his bum during constipation.

Tali's voice acting, I liked. I like the whole Euro thing she has going. Kind of reminds me of that chick in Berlin in Eurotrip. "Meeka" or whatever her name was. Haha.

I was about to say "none of them" until you reminded me of the wonder that is Harbinger.

But although Harbinger's voice is comically cheesy, the worst I can really say is that there's some voices that I don't care for personally; but I don't think any of them are really crap as such, and most are very good.

Ugh, this accidental sycopancy is killing me, I'd better thing of something rude to say about them...

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Eclipse tech experts."How about a little fire!!!" Big time geeky voices happening there.

No matter how much disdain I have for the OP, I have to agree, Liz Sroka annoyed me the whole way through the game but that is probably due to the whiny personality of Tali rather than voice acting. Oh well, was still always irritated when she started speaking.

Having heard the great Steve Blum in a ton of stuff I think it is a testament to his skills that I didn't immediately recognize him as the voice of Grunt. And even now knowing that it is him I can barely detect him in that role. Only at certain times.

That being said so far as I can tell he played Grunt, Wilson, Vido Santiago (Zaeed's Blue Sun's Merc) and one of the guys at the consoles as you are walking toward Joker on the Normandy.

I really think everyone did a great job. As far as Meer goes though he gets my vote for most improved from the first game. It took me a while playing ME1 to get used to him. ME2 I immediately noticed a much improved difference. But that's just me...

VA is actually pretty good, all of them.

Even the bad ones aren't as bad as a lot of other games. Ever played any english-voiced final fantasy? Damn that **** is painful. Everyone sounds like a whining thirteen year old boy, even the giant robots.

The Turian guard at the entrance to the quarantine zone on Omega. He sounds like he's waiting on the infield at Daytona for the start of the race, not like an alien.

The main ones Meer or Hale, there were some problems I detected

Meer was great on Renegade lines but in other situations his voice fell flat, it doesn't even sound like a Marine, sounds more like an office accountant...

Hale was really deep and she had this wierd tone drop sometimes in her lines, it was just annoying

overall not bad and aside from those 2, everyone else really did their voices great and defined their characters nicely
