The only class i really liked was warriors. However i have a goal of completing the game with all three character types. I bet the game as a 2h warrior and now want to try it as a dw rouge. I have gear and quests that i will get i just need help getting there. First should i put the 5 points in cun the rest in dex or put in dex and every level raise cun by 1 every level till its 20 and is strength useless? Is momentum really that useful? I am used to slow attacks cause of using a 2 h and precise strike. Also is dualist and assaian good specs?

Cunning 22 atleast for stealth, 30 if you want to open all chests with 4 points into devices. Not sure about xbox but on ps3 dexterity does not increase damage for daggers. Check about xbox think its the same.

I thought dex increased daggers and bows? The gear i plan on getting will boost it to 30 when i need it and you get some cun at the mage tower.

You need a base dex of around high 20's/low 30's for skills/weapons etc. Rest in Cunning with Lethality. Dex on console doesnt work for daggers... >.< Instead of taking 50% from Str and Dex it takes dagger dmg purely from Str.

Yay for no console love!

Strength 20 to get the best rogue armour

Dex 36(if you want all the weapon talents but DW mastery isn't worth it for a rogue)

Cunning max with Lethality

After this just put on any +dex or cunning gear you can get. +cunning gear is rare though.

Assasin is the best as it adds a lot of backstab bonuses, duelist is good aswell but I wouldn't prioritise it over the rogue talents. The last talent of duelist is incredibly powerful though.

Get the first line of rogue up to Coupe De Grace, the whole Lethality line and Stealth. With high cunning you won't need all the lockpicking talents. The rest go into specs and weapon talents but remeber, a rogue doesn't need dw Mastery, daggers are much, much more effective.

Momentum is vital as rogues are all about fast, furious backstabs for mega dps. With good backstabs and momentum I took the High Dragon down on Nightmare in about a minute and a half, if that, without levelling myself above it.

Dexterity is bugged on the consoles so dual wielding daggers for a rogue is a bad idea.

So is there any other skills i should get besides momentum and lethality and coupe de grace and master stealth?

While dex is bugged I strongly disagree with the rest of this statement.

I'm doing DW daggers w/ Assassin/Bard (36DEX) and as much CUN as I can muster for backstabbing on the 360. W/ some decent gear and daggers, I'm shredding parties. I use lvl 1 bard song and momentum as my sustainables and have Lilly using lvl 3 song. Riposte/Punisher/Dirty Fighting are invaluable to do crowd control. Then just a bit of maneuvering for backstabbing and your gold.

Dex is bugged but longswords will only be useful if you pump strength but a cunning rogue is much more powerful and is better using daggers. So longswords bad, daggers good.

I would go for Assasin first for the backstab bonuses.

Other than momentum, stealth and lethality you should get your spec and weapon talents.

Thanks for the help DJ. Currently i am lvl 14 and did the tower of magi and redcliffe. Surprisingly i have most of my gear I do have a question though. The crow dagger you receive from the precious metals quest is there a way i can get it to 3 rune slots?

Edit - I almost bet the high dragon without wade's superior drakeskin armour. Using wynne as a heal bot/revial bot works wonders.

Go with dual weapon mastery and use Duncan's sword and Maric blade from return to ostager.

Dual-Weapon Mastery

Only
a chosen few truly master the complicated art of fighting with two
weapons. The character is now among that elite company, able to wield
full-sized weapons in both hands. Stamina costs for all dual-weapon
talents are also reduced.

*must resist but cannot*

It depends.

Rouge gel is the most challenging. It can streak. Rouge powder helps with buildability. You can add more for more drama if needed. But remember, if you are going rouge, go light on the eyes and lips to avoid an over made up effect.

Best DPS for a DW War is Veshialle + Rose's Thorn.

I used Keening Blade/Starfang, it was awesome with berkerk, momentum and dual striking. The Veshialle would be the best replacement for Starfang, it is a bit better suited to the warrior in my opinion.

I am getting all of that and is whirlwind worth it?? Also i am thinking about putting five points into strength then for lvl 2 and on 2 to strength while 1 to dexterity till 36.

Whirlwind is good. If you taunt, use dw sweep and then whirlwind you can take down loads of enemies in a couple of seconds. It's not really a must have asap kind of talent though.

As for attributes, I just made sre to have 36 dex by level 12, the rest can go into str.
