I'm getting antsy for the expansion pack and so I decided to start another playthrough. I have all of the DLC.

My first playthrough was as a Mage. I'm going for a human Rogue this time around.(Elves are too short and feminine looking and I've never been partial to Dwarves. From what I remember it seemed like all of the Rogue armor was like leather skirts with no pants. Are there any armor sets that don't look like that for Rogues?

Why in God's name can't we use Duncan's armor? That is hands down the coolest looking armor in the whole game and can't even be used by the player. Boo-urns I say unto you... boo-urns. That should be some standard issue Grey Warden gear that can be equipped by all classes.

Duncan's armor for el presidente, mutha truckas!!

Unfortunately, no. But at least rogue armor looks better than mage robes (or mage caps - dear Maker please give mages better caps in Awakening).

Unfortunately, if you want to wear pants you have to be a fighter. Maybe that's why Oghren is so obsessed with pants? If he loses his pants, he loses his caste.......

I quite like the look of the Felon's Coat personally. I was surprised b how good it looked on my City Elf, before that I thought it was all ugly skirts and such but it did actually look rather good.

One out of the 4 available models for light armors have pants (studded leather, used for Felon's coat and Wade's superior drakescale). And quite franky I think it looks good.

What's wrong with the Rogue armor?? I kinda like seeing Leliana in a leather bikini (ie Dalish leather). Remember that lighter armor produces less agro and enemies are more likely to ignore in favour of heavier-armoured foes.

I do not like the rogue armor because of the colors (while other elite armors have gold, black, silver, and other more realistic colors the rogue elite armor colors are light purple and light blue? not realistic) and the fact that parts of your arms and legs and exposed in combat. When facing an army of bloodthirsty darkspawn, mages who love to throw fireballs at you, beasts that want to rip you apart, soldiers who want to chop you into little bits...etc I think it would be fair to have at least one set of armor that does not expose a weak spot in combat. That is just my opinion though.

What's wrong with the purple. I actually liked it, at least it's a little different than the standard.

Just personal tastes and I find it random. I am hoping a armor dye kit is introduced in Awakening.

Well... dragons are purple-ish so I guess it makes sense for drakescale armor to be purple-ish, right ?

I thought the material was drakeskin, but I could be wrong, in which case would explain why Wade's is light blue as Drakes have light blue hides.

The armor from the High Dragon Wade makes looks pretty good. I've always liked that one for my Rogues.

Really? It's basicly look like any other type of leather armor with different color patern. The leather armor in Dragon age ... HOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRIIBLE ..

They slacked the bongo bongo on design.. They  know it i'm sure.
I play an assasin .. A frigging bad ass Elve .. and i'm a frigging god in combat .. and i have more gold than Cailan himself .. Yet i still wear that ugly learther armor i purchased in Orzaamar that look like my  grade 1 armor i looted on a darkspawn.

Yet they added a lot of dagger with dlc .. and they added a lot of cool looking armor..But they never added anything cool for rogue and mage.

and imo Rogue are simply >>>>> Everything.
You can do everything a tank can do and more.

But seriously i'm getting used to it.Take a look at NWN (The first one) .. It's took than 2 expansion to add robe and actually cool looking armor. The armor of NWN = plain bad. It's bad karma or something for bioware. They never learn.

Duncan actually wear the best looking armor in the game. But i want something else .. It's duncan armor .. not mine. Also leather armor give a *plastic* feel.Kinda how it's seem to be stuck on your chest and do plastic sound when you run.

I personally like the Chasind Robe with +6 Defense, on Leliana, but then I am a dirty old man as one might say. I also use it with my female mages too.

I use the Shadow Warden Armour mod for my rogue. Actually, I use it for my arcane warrior as well :)

The Shadow Warden armor does look good, but I bought the collector's edition for the 360 even though I have a beastly rig that would have made the game look better. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm wishing I had of gone with the PC version so I could try some mods.

Let that be a lesson to you: only get bioware games on the PC.

Let's also get back to the days of 5 disks for one bioware game.

Personally I would say just use the Ancient Elven Armor set, does not effect your fatigue much and has a lot of benefits that can help a rouge.

I dislike the rogue armors because they all look the same but with different colors to a small degree.

And I would like to ask why can't we have pants instead of skirts for rogue armors?

Cause male rogues like to have it swaying in the breeze?....Seriously i think they were trying to go for the tasset's(Spelling?) of roman era as they did not inhibit movement which would be essential for lightly armored fighters to be able to evade blows.

I'm only aware of the Ancient Elven Armor and Wade's Superior Drakeskin Armor (and Wade's Superior Dragonskin at a push) for rogues, best thing to do is mix and match the codex items, which sucks because I want my guys kitted out in armor set bonus gear, wah.
