Also, if I'm not mistaken, Duncan's mother was Rivaini; I love Duncan as a character, and would love to learn more about him and his past.

But it would also be cool if we get a chance to visit old places (orzammar, denerim, Kal'Hirol) and see them changed by our actions.

They're the ones that conquered Ferelden long ago. The magister lords responsible for the desecration of the Golden City and emergence of darkspawn came from there. The survived major invasions throughout their history like the Blight, qunari invasions, and also the Alamarri tribes under Maferath and Andraste.
The fabled city of Minrathous, said never to have fallen, is what I personally wanted to see the most. I expect to see a city no less grander in scale than the Minas Tirith from LOTR, culturally and historically the richest you'll find in any game, filled with politics, with defined social structure laid bare for all to see, and a very deep and compelling plot to boot (What DAO offered about Ferelden politics and Landsmeet was good, but certainly fell far short of the crazily high expectations I have for this empire).

You forget that the Tevinter culture is stagnant and has fallen to decadence, like the Byzantine empire. I expect Minrathous to have fantastic buildings and places of culture, but a lot of slums, slavery, corruption and brutality as well.SphereofSilence wrote...

I mean in DAO there is a certain Tevinter Mage who knows how to sap the life force of elves to strengthen someone elses... I could imagine pretty much all the Tevinter sorceror-kings doing the same thing, especially with the massive amount of slavery going on there.

Guys damnit, do you really want a game of french?
Nobody can hear their own people's accent. [Americans don't count because their accents vary wildly]
So there, you automatically have a reason why everyone WON'T sound french or fake-french.
