Antiva, or Orlais for me. Mainly for cloak and dagger and intrigue. And assassins!
I'd like to second this motion.

But for story sake I would prefer orlais, since it would give us a more probable setting to continue with a morrigan and/or leliana plot ...a morrigan/leliana plot on tevinter would make me buy 4 copies of the game =P

There's so much potential there. There's the constant warring with the Qunari, and not just tiny battles with Tal'Vashoth rabble either like in the first game. Real organized Qunari armies whom the Tevinters have to fight off. There's the whole elven slavery issue, which would make for an awesome origin story. There's also the Imperial Chantry and its relaxed attitudes toward mages. There's so much potential here.
The only problem I see with it is that Dwarves would probably be left out unless you really fished and made a Dwarven Mercenary origin or something to give your Dwarf PC an excuse to be in the Imperium.

The Dales, pre-Exalted March. They should make an entire game around this, playing as Origins from either side.

Just because there must inevitably be ruins of a lost/ancient/alien civilization there.

I want to be able to explore the Triventer (i know its spelled wrong) area. Being that im a mage and always have loved magic charas i would love to visit this area to see what those mages were like. for all we know they could still be alive and have just been underground mastering their spells.

Read your Codex.
The Tevinter mages are still sitting in their towers, literally above the stink and filth of the slaves and peasants trapped in the city below.

Why would people want tevinter they are no longer a really powerful people*i think*
So what? They're still surrounded by history and magical knowledge (assuming Tevinter ~ medieval Byzantium), they're still an incredibly cosmopolitan place and the crossroads of the world. And they're still more powerful than Ferelden which is a backwater.

They also have a different Chantry, and it would be the best place to learn more about the Old Gods/Black City/Rise of the darkspawn. Considering that we know almost nothing about any of that, it would be nice to get some answers. Also, it would be the logical place for Morrigan/her Old god baby to go, as that would be where people still support her - if anyone does at all. Finally, it is near Par Vollen (the qunari) and I believe that they frequently fight in that area, although I am not positive about that

I'd like the oportunity to Join the Crows, Even if it is another chronicles type thing.
It would also be fun to tople thhe whole Antivan sociaety just to se what happens.
