Antiva. After everything Zevran said about it, I want to see it for myself.

Nevarra. A country that's all about military and glory is something I can get behind!
Also since they're famous for hunting dragons to near extinction they sound like a fun bunch.

Anderfels! I am so anxious to get to Weisshaupt Fortress to see what all the other Grey Wardens are up to (and to meet Fiona if she is still there!). Though I'd be happy with any of the nations. There seems to be very little information on Nevarra and Rivian in the game though, but would love to learn more about them as well. The Free Marches could be interesting though it's not really a nation.. hmm, so many choices. I expect we will definitely see Tevinter and the war with the Qunari at some stage so for now I am just hoping we get to Weisshaupt (which is also near-ish to Kal Sharok, which would be equally cool to visit).

Ooh, yes Tevinter would be quite exciting. Just thinking about what they did to the whole world...seeing all that former glory and current misery would be an amazing adventure. And maybe we could hear their side of it? Whether the people feel a terrible regret about what their magister's did and/or anger at the maker or the chantry. There is serious potential for drama and we wouldn't even need a Blight to feel like the world was messed up in Tevinter. I mean, pretty much everyone hates them. I would love to experience that.
My second choice would be Orlais. Political intrigue, grand cities and such...but lets avoid giving everyone french accents. That would get on my nerves...quickly.

Tevinter Imperium its such a melting pot and I want to see the war with the Quanari upclose, to see hows empire sees it self and its furture and most of all help the Elves gain some form of equality and explore their History.

The Anderfels, for me. Even though it is the seat of the Grey Wardens, I would rather see the potential beauty of such a ruined land. Lots of eye-candy potential.

It's close between Antiva and Orlais for me - but I ended up going with Antiva. They were just the two that I heard the most about.

Tevinter all the way, Anywhere but Orlais would get my support though.

Anderfells and Weishaupt Fortress ... if it is on this side of the planet.
so something further away from the know map .. might be also exciting
. What "New Worlds" can await is there.

Orlais, because Morrigan was last spotted traveling west through the Frostback Mountains. IE, towards Orlais!

You are all made of Fail!!
Clearly, it is BRYNN LAW!!
Ah-ha! I knew you I would find you, Saemon Havarian!! Who would have thought you would have been hiding in... Thedas??

Seriously... it *is* on the map... just east of the Arlathan forest in the north of Antiva...
Y'know, Gaider, stealing your own work is considered second degree plagiarism... as a Literary Critic, I am authorised to take you into custody...
EDIT: spelling...

Par Vollen! The Qunari sound like they have such a unique society, whereas all the human societies seem like they would be basically the same. I really want to see what those Qunari are up to, anyway.
If we went to Orlais, would all the characters have French accents?

That makes me wonder of Fereldens in non-English versions of the game speak the languages with English accents. They probably should.
Me, I'd probably go for Arlathan, for the opportunity to go digging into Elven history. However, I have a suspicion that Arlathan, Tevinter and Par Vollen are all locations that Bioware'll be planning to tease us with for a while yet...

Tevinter!
The allure of the ancient culture in which all of these nations owe so much of their technology! The place, according to myth, responsible for the magisters who created the darkspawn. All of that magical lore.
Followed by Seheron, Antiva, and Rivain, in that order.
Please not Orlais... nothing against it, but it's Ferelden's neighbor.

Tervinter, again. Because it seems to be based off of rome. I'm not too well versed in the law, so if there's a Thedas equivilent of Egypt, that instead.

1: Antiva, need more dirty plumbers.
2: Orlais, need more outrageous accents!
A lot of people are saying Tevinter, but, having beaten the horse that is Oblivion several times, I can honestly say that traversing another massive imperial power would be tedious. I doubt it would prevent me from buying the second DA game, but I am very hesitant. I would much rather see a game that told the story of Andraste. Without a doubt her story and following the questline for her ashes got a stronger emotional response than the rest of DO:A.

I have to go with Tevinter..Its sounds like alot of backstory is there. Plus lots of amazing crap to see.
Perhaps a class based expansion, Rouges to antivia, mages to tevinter, and fighters to wherever the hell it is Sten comes from.

Tevinter: It is the final vestige of the Empire that once covered all of Thedas. It has a dark past, faces threats from both the Qunari and the Orlesians, and all around would be an interesting place to go.

Hi all,
For this edition of the Dev Question, we are interested in learning about what areas in the world of Thedas you would like to visit in future installments of Dragon Age. Please take a moment to vote in the poll.
As you answer, we'd also like to hear what makes you interested in the area. What do you know of it that would shape your expectations when you visit? Are there landmarks or people you would like to encounter? So please take a moment to comment in this thread in addition to voting in the poll.
Aha!! You finally touched on my favorite thing..being an explorer at heart, I am deadly curious about Orlais, and the Qunari Islands...AND the ancient elven lands, Arlathan, even if it is in ruins.
Just let me at the map...gimmee
Kal Shirok....you guys talk about it but you don't let us go there.
