The Antivan Crows are very cool, to me. So I would prefer to visit Antiva and perhaps become a crow and work on quests such as killing kings. Also, a city as seemingly big as Antiva City is described by Zevran seems like an excellent new idea for a new setting in my opinion.

All the stories about the Cathedral in Val Royeux make me curious about how it and the rest of Orlais look.

Either Orlais or Antiva. We've heard quite a bit about both in DA:O so I am really curious about either.

Definately Orlais for all the political machinations and intrigue and double crosses and plot twists and the like. Other than Ferelden, it's the one we know the most of. It'd be cool to expand on things there, particularly some of the interesting factions such as the chevaliers. They also seem like they'd have the most room for variety in terms of moral and ethical tangents.

Rivain - looks like an interesting little peninsula on the map

NOT ORLAIS - 70 hours of listening to French accents would drive me nuts.

Hi all,

For this edition of the Dev Question, we are interested in learning about what areas in the world of Thedas you would like to visit in future installments of Dragon Age. Please take a moment to vote in the poll.

As you answer, we'd also like to hear what makes you interested in the area. What do you know of it that would shape your expectations when you visit? Are there landmarks or people you would like to encounter? So please take a moment to comment in this thread in addition to voting in the poll.

Tevinter! I think there is so much more potential in Tevinter than any other countries. Second would be Antiva. Orlais just souns too boring and more or less we already know about it. Besides with small areas in dragon age being rendered, you won't be able to see everything inside the country. The famous beauty of Orlais won't be shown.

The Tevinter Imperium is my first choice, followed by Nevarra.

For the Tevinter Imperium, I would really like to see how they are doing after falling, converting, having a schism, and surviving Exalted Marches and Qunari invasions. That has to be one tough nation being to hold on for so long, and I really am curious about who are the major players holding this nation together. Is it their pride holding them together? Their faith? Strong leaders giving hope? What is currently on the minds of the populace? Who are the current people of interest?

How do they feel about the Old Gods? Is there still hate for them, or do some wish to free them? Do they all view the Old Gods as evil, or just powerful beings who were there when the Maker turned away?

How's the Imperial Chantry doing? Does the Tevinter Imperium alienate those who are of the original Chantry? How fares their Divine?

The Tevinter mages we saw in DA:O were complete ****s, are most high ranking mages like that? Is there great struggle in the views of slavery in Tevinter, or are there larger things on the minds of the mages?

Far more questions for Nevarra since barely anything is known other than its dragon slayer legends, giant tombs, and being a new, growing power.

Ferelden.

There's one very simple reason: if "Ferelden" sounded like your classic English-speaking fantasy, then any other country, from Orlais to Antiva, would be very specifically foreign. From the accents to the architecture, everything will scream: hey, you're in ANOTHER COUNTRY! You are abroad! And I don't want it. I'd much rather feel home.

Of course, there's always a possibility that it'll be like Baldur's Gate 1 and 2: different areas, but the same feeling. Alas, I fear it'd be different with Dragon Age games.

I'm guessing Anderfels would have pretty much the same feeling as Ferelden: cold climes, simple people. No exotics.

Tevinter. I don't want a piece of DLC that gives me a short 2 hour stint in some city with a bit of culture thrown in. The opportunities for expansion with the Tevinter Imperium is endless!

I was going to make a Tevinter Origin story but ended up setting that aside in favour of uni. Even after a few hours worth of planning, I had a massive amount of ideas that BioWare could easily implement and make amazing. Enough of this "1-2" hour DLC for like $5. We need expansions! More Awakening-esque!

Some of us don't have a home in an english speaking country, this invalidates your point.

One man's foreign is another man's home.

Orlais. It seemingly has the largest amount of political intrigue of all the countries. It is also the greatest military power of the time and the home of the Chantry. Extremely fascinating stuff. Also, I'd think it would be the natural step forward, since it was given a fairly strong emphasis in Origins. :)

I would like to visit Orlais the most, because of it's obvious geographical proximity to where DA:O takes place. I'd also rate the Imperium 2nd since there seems to be so much history there.

Voted Antiva, but Par Vollen would also be interesting. Antiva just seems more intriegous and exiting for a game which focuses on moral choises etc :)

The one with more black and Asian people, but since that is not going to happen. :)
I voted the Free Marshes, but I would be happy with Par Vollen and Antiva. I would be happy with the Imperium too.
