LOL...
I love the new Hack, and Bypass............. HATE the old system on my comp. with the stupid spinning circles and arrows.... reload like...10x for one container.
I found at first that I MISSED the Mako until the gazillionth freakin side-quest planet burned me out on it AGAIN!
Oh yeah... one thing I miss most from ME1 are the lack of heat-sinks..... loathe them. I love the old weapon/ammo/armor upgrade system much better

Yes planet scanning sucks but I will take that over the Mako any day.

I kinda wanted to go back and play another new character, to import to ME2.
I'm having trouble playing it again though. Compared to ME2, it's very outdated and the controls and gameplay just aren't as advanced.
Part of me kinda wishes BioWare would make a patch for ME1 to make combat and movement more like that of ME2... I know that's not gonna happen though.
No, ME1 is a great game.
It's not as fun, but it is enjoyable nonetheless.

I'm having troubled going back to ME1, the first 3 hours of ME are boring, the first 3 hours of ME2 are exhilirating.
go play a shooter then because all you want is action.
Actually I think most players will stick with Mass Effect since the developers have agreed that the pacing and action could be better!
If all you want is pacing and action why play ME, go play Halo, Gears, Bioshock,
or any of the hundreds of other shooters out there, stop ruining the
RPG genre.

I like ME2, but it's just the middle piece I'm slogging through to get to 3, hoping that they put a little of 1's magic back while keeping 2's graphics.

I enjoyed the story in ME2, it is just the middle chapter in the saga, so it doesn't have the wonder of a whole new world of the first chapter and can't have the utterly epic conclusion of the last, while still having to set it up. And I thought the characters were much more fleshed out and I'm more attached to me ME2 team than my ME1 squad, where I didnt use or care for anyone but Tali and Garrus in the old game.

But I played ME1 twice after beating ME2 the first time. I made two paragade saves for the Xbox version with all paragon choices and kaidan dead, LI Ash, and Liara. With a final save before choosing to kill the council or not.
I fully expect to replay ME2 after ME3 comes out to do the same again. Oh, and replaying ME1 made me love seeing the Mako encased in ice in ME2 I only wish we could blow it up during that mission. Oh, yeah and I hate Nodacrux it is by far the worst UNC in ME1.

God I hope the hammerhead is a huge improvement.

Sometimes, I feel like "I'm getting a little bored" but then I remember "Hold on, after this you play ME2 with this character, is there anything cooler than that?"

I did alot of that during my second paragade ME1 playthrough if wasn't for the all the snow on the U.S. eastcoast I might not have made it.
And the only way I can see myself liking the hammerhead is if it is used in chase or some kind of ME universe pod racing otherwise I'm just going ask myself why doesn't Shep use the shuttle and why does Shep keep forgetting his polaroid camera in the Normandy?

Beautiful music, wonderful planets (Ilos for example), side quests that gave me an interest in doing them, the story milestones pushing the game forward (Feros, Noveria etc) and an epic ending. I prefer the combat in ME2, but overall I really enjoyed ME a lot more.

The story for ME1 is still great and in my opinion superior to the main story in ME2 although the loyalty missions in ME2 make it harder to judge which game has the superior narrative (Tali's and Mordin's loyalty missions in particular have some of the most powerful dialogue and complex ethical dilemma's in either game).
Additionally the squad and character customization in ME1 is much more thorough than in ME2, and it has Wrex the most awesome squad member in either game and Liara being sweet and loveable not cold and creepy.
I'm thinking about going back to ME1 to import another character myself and my suggestion for anyone replaying ME1 is to turn down the difficulty to casual, breeze quickly through the combat and play it for the story and customization. That said you might want to turn the difficulty up to hardcore (which I find to generally be the most entertaining setting in both games) for some of the more entertaining battles like the showdown with Saren on Virmire which is probably the best battle in ME1.
If you turn down the difficulty, use the MAKO to its fullest (which should still allow you to hit level 50) and ignore the rescource gathering you can probably slice through ME1 in about 12 to 15 hours.
PS: On a side note, if you are playing ME1 I suggest you make sure you have access to Sniper Rifles and rig up a Spectre sniper rifle with two rail extensions (or scram rails) and high explosive rounds. If you do you'll have an exceptionally entertaining long range cannon which will send anyone you hit with it flying. As much as I love the Widow in ME2, I really wish I could load it up with high explosive rounds.

I found it pretty funny that my sniper rifle was also my anti-tank weapon.

With that said, give ME1 the combat system of ME2... JUST that, nothing more, not even the graphics, and suddenly ME1 would rise to a whole new level, in my opinion if ME1 had the same combat system it would be superior to ME2 in almost every way except of course for the graphics. But anyway, to each their own tastes isn't it? Nah I really don't have a problem playing ME1 at all, it's a freakin' amazing game that transcends standards, it's a video gaming jewel that I will still play from time to time in five years from now, and I'm afraid that when ME3 comes out I'll be leaving ME2 in the dust for a good time.
