ME1 just feels clunky and awkward to me in comparison to ME2.

No troubles here. Other, non-ME games, however...
Between ME1 and ME2, I really don't feel the need to play anything else. The balance of story+shooting crap=perfect game for me. And now I have two of them.
Thanks Bioware, for saving me money!

The Mako must have been worse on the XBOX controller or something... I seriously had no issues driving it with the PC keyboard and aiming the turret with the mouse...

The Mako was not difficult to drive at all, unless you've never played games before. It got annoying sometimes on the side planets when you would hit hills at weird angles, but other than that it was "not difficult"

I just get annoyed when you hit a planet where every cliff is an 80 degree incline and it takes you 20 minutes to get to your first destination.

I have gone back to ME1 to try and get a new end to import into ME2 and I only have 2 real problems with ME1, after having played ME2.
1. Shooting is ME1 is really boring after ME2. ME2 combat is so much better than ME1.

You've got to be kidding me. The Mako was a great idea but it was horribly implemented. The Mako was easy to drive on flat plains, but those landscapes only consisted of maybe 5-10% of the landscapes your actually driving on. Majority of the minerals, anomalies, and bases were usually only accessible by transversing rough terrain.
Does anyone actually think that scaling a mountain for 2-3 minutes only to fall back down to the bottom is fun? The new planet scanning is tedius, but not as tedius as the Mako was in ME1.

Honestly I'd rather drive up a mountain multiple times then hear probe launched one more time, playing probe wars is the most boring thing ever put into a game that I can think of.

I agree on that, combat in ME2 is more immersive imo than in ME1.

It does make the game 50 hours instead of 20

Yeah, same with the planet scanning in ME2. I may be insane, but I think if I'm gonna be spending 30 extra hours it would be in the MAKO instead of just launching probes.
