I'm pretty against a Mass Effect movie... I think that if they are trying to do that kind of movie, they will need to "popularize" the complex background around the game. Many important things could be casted away to touch a large public : The dark and mature themes, the blood, the husks, a part of the backstory...

And even if they are making a film with a Shepard... What kind of Shepard would it be ? A Parangon ? A neutral (best idea) ? A Renegade ? In that case, they won't be able to satisfy everyone... So it's risky...



BUT ! If they finally make a film, I want three things :

- Uwe Bowl is not the director, and he is secretly assassinated or confined on a desert island the time they are making the film.

- Sam Worthington or Vin Diesel are selected to be the Male Shepard (Yeah ! It could be fun !)

- Tali's face is not shown, AT ANY TIME.

And since I doubt that would happen, I'd rather like no Shepard at all in the movie...

To be honest if they were going to make a movie that included Shepard I'd want it to be about the Skyllian Blitz so that people would get background on the character. It could also include Pressly and Anderson.



Personally I would want to be about the First Contact war, as already mentioned, and avoid the big characters.



If I had to pick a Shepard I'd probably go with Bale too

Dammit, I was in the middle of writing this basically, and then I decided to see if anyone else wrote it first..

I would like the movie to be about the first steps into the galactic community, beginning of the movie they discover the prothean ruins and so on..

Seth Green *needs* to be Joker.
Otherwise, Keith David does look quite a bit like Anderson, not just in the face. Martin Sheen as TIM is a no brainer.

As for Shepard... Christian Bale seems like a good choice as far as male Shepards go. As for female... Why not Jennifer Garner? She's got the looks and the training.

Eh if they ever come out with a Mass Effect movie I hope its either CG like resident evil degeneration or make it based on the first book, otherwise you're stuck with having to explain the whole protheans and mass relays plus the reapers in about two hours.

Henry Cavill looks just like Commander Shepard, and he's a pretty good actor. Or at least he's good as Sir Charles Brandon in the series.
