I just finished working on a Coalesced.ini mod.

What it does is universalize the colours of Tint 1, Tint 2 and Pattern Colour into 41 different colours. So those of you that really wanted to be able to have certain colours only available on one slider, now you can have the same on all. This allows some neat schemes. For example, for a Cerberus look-alike scheme, White Tint 1, Yellow Tint 2, and Black Pattern w/ Pattern 2 (the stripes) looks great.

It also adds a number of casual apperances for both males and females, brining it to a total of 31 each. There are other mods that does this, but I tried to clean up some of the bugged or clipping ones, such as the Illusive Man's clothes, which had a hole in the chest, as well as the two VI-"clothes" and a low-res labcoat.

As a side-effect of being my personal Coalesced.ini when I started to work on this, it also includes a mod that increases the duration and regeneration of sprint. It does not give you infinite sprint, but it does increase it - in non-combat situations, it is increased a lot.

Get it while it's hot:

Edit: There are some minor overlapping amongst the colours. All colours are technically unique, but some are very close to eachother. Don't be fooled, though. =]

Think you could release a vid or pictures showcasing them? :)

Don't really have anything to do a vid with, unfortunately. I was going to make a little showcasing with images, before I realized that I only have Paint on this computer and that it'd just take painfully long to take pictures and crop them.

Here's a few, though.
The Cerberus Colour Scheme, combined with Insertnameioo's N7-B-Gone texture mod that is currently being worked on. The colour scheme looks better with Shield Harness w/o N7-stickers, but as of writing, the N7-B-Gone for that piece isn't done yet.

Armor with Black Tint 2, something previously impossible. The closest thing you could get to black was really, really dark Red or Green. I think I'm going to see if it's possible to get a really, really dark blue at a later date, probably going to remove/add some other colours at such a time (if I ever get around to it).

As for new casual outfits, there's an Alliance Uniform in 3 different ranks aswell as a brown version (my personal favourite). Really, there's just too many and many of them aren't really spectacular enough to warrent a special mention. It's a really easy download. Just backup your old Coalesced.ini and dump the new one there, and everything should work fine. If you don't like it, just restore the old one.

I realize I'm not giving away a lot of info here, but it's infinately easier to install/uninstall the Coalesced.ini yourselves than it is for me to take pictures, crop them, upload them, or even to write this post. :P

Wow, really? No-one? The lack of colours (especially black for Tint 2/Patterns) was a real pet-peeve of mine. Guess I was alone in that. =o

It is nice. I'll probably try it out once I've got the time to do so. Thank you.

Makes me wonder why, if this was so easy to mod up, that we didn't have more options in the standard game.

I'd like one without the sprint.

Wow! Fantastic work! Thanks for this! If the OP can't, could someone else upload a couple of screenshots?

And thanks for this, the color selection was a bit lacking originally :wizard:

Very impressive work on the armour there, couldnt we have a version which does not increase the sprint though? Some of us will want the gameplay itself to be as close to the original as possible.

Did a small update, this is for 1.01, but I can't honestly see a difference between the 1.00 Coalesced and the 1.01 and from what I hear, the old Coalesced I made (in OP) doesn't have any compatability issues with 1.01. I could, of course, be wrong.

Unicolour, Casual Appearances, Crouch on LeftAlt, Extended Out-of-Combat sprint:

If you don't want to use crouch, simply assign something else to LeftAlt and it'll automaticly override it, such as putting melee there, or w/e.

:wizard:

Edit:  Also, I wanted to try to "clean up" the order in which colours appear, since it appears a bit random right now. When I looked it over, though, I realized what a monumental effort it'd be. I'll try to get around to it at a later date, but as of now, every time I stare at the block of text in Coalesced.ini I get vertigo.

Also, I'd like to add a plug for Insertnameioo's N7-B-Gone Texture Mod, which is just too awesome for words. Not only did I consider the N7 Armor nonsensical in ME2 (Shepard is not part of the Alliance Special Forces anymore and not in the alliance chain of command; why would he be in alliance uniform except for nostaliga? Why would he put a N7 sticker on armour he buys at a random store?) but it also interfered with non-black/white/red armor colour schemes.

What we need is a new forum for mods so that they can all be found in the one place and not scattered as they are by other topics.

Aye, I agree. I don't think we'll get it though, given the ME1/2 hostility towards mods with absolutely zero support from EA/Bioware. Had they known that we'd do things like this, they would've probably found a way to stop us.

Would it be at all possible for you to post where in the Coalesced file the changes you made were so that I can locate and copy and paste them into my current file without having to redo the current mods I have. If you could it'd be a great help, thanks in advance.

Casual outfits is located right under [SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player] or in the BioGame.ini for those who have the Mass Effect 2 Coalesced Compiler.

Edit: Tints is right under the casual outfits, scroll down a bit and it should be there.

would it be possible for you to start a project for this and upload the files there?

megaupload always gives me trouble downloading there and it will prevent your work from disappearing with this thread, which i feel would be a shame

This. The easiest way to do what Kratos' wants is to simply cut and paste that entire section, as long as it doesn't interfere with anything else.

I personally use Notepad++ for editing, then I open it up in the Coalesced compiler/editor and rebuild it. Works like a charm and makes it much easier to cut and paste entire sections. :)

Heh, I do the same thing. Notepad++ really makes it easier in copying and pasting everything.

Thank you for the mod, its always nice to have more colors to use. :D

This is really cool. Does this mod work for Xbox360 as well? I've got everything in place for modding mai Xbox; it'd be badass if this worked for it as well.
