if an asari gets introduced, it needs to be either Aria or Shiala. no exceptions.
And Gianna Parasini, even though she is not an asari. But she is my romantic interest from ME1&2!!!

A Batarian SIU (Special Interventions Unit, batarian equivalent of the special forces) member would be great. After reading about that Blue Suns training camp ran by ex-SIU members, I wouldn't mind having one of these in our squad.Zulu_DFA wrote...
4. Batarian. Aria's Anto would suffice, but he needs to be able to tell the batarian version of the Skillian Blitz / Torfan / Mindoir story, and about Batarian history, culture, biology -- all the Codex things. Gives "intimidation" bonus to Shepard while in the shore party.

I say: however many discs it'd take, I want to see as many of the old gang as possible.

Is it true that to have Shepard survive you need at least two ME2 squad mates not to die at the end?
If so, that gives a minimum of
Those two you kept alive
Two new squadmates
Kaiden/Ashley
Liara
I think that'd be swell.

When I started reading this I thought, "ENCHANTMENT!"TekFanX wrote...
I'd like the following:
The Savant.
A human savant, likely not as much dialouge at first.
But he burries a secret: His mother was a slave in an illegal baterian eezo-mine while she was pregnant.
When she escaped with a group of slaves, she died and gave birth to him.
Because of this, his brain contains more eezo than any other biological entity yet found.
To be his really self, he needs to project biotic fields arround him, that work like biotic nervous-systems...which is kinda obvious, when he runs arround.
Also he just talks to persons who have a strong personality when he "unfolds", otherwise his biotic abilities could possibly make the person insane(if he'd speak to an asari, she'd become insane on instant).
Since he is extremely intelligent, he can upgrade Shepards equipment like mordin does.
First, when he still hides his abilities, Shepard could wonder about the engravings on the equipment.
But when the Savant finally shows shepard what he is, the engravings will start to glow, because the savant concentrates his biotic abilities on them.
Ingame this could be implemented by shepard talking to the savant like:"I'd like to concentrate arround 50 percent of your powers on the protections of the squad. And 25% each on weapons and powers."
Resulting in a buff that should be balanced enough that it doesn't become overpowered.
BTW I support the OP. Have all the old companions go off and do important things because of their involvement with Shepard. The experience helped them grow out of the role of Shepard grunt to leader of their respective people.
NEW SQUADMATES!

The final chapter isn't the time to introduce new players, it's the time to wrap things up.
The easiest way to wrap things up is to kill everybody. Therefore, many ME2 squadmates are pretty much wrapped up. Doesn't make sense though. ME3 is bound to wrap up "Shepard vs. Reapers". It won't wrap up the ME universe. It will give it a new beginning. A post-Reaper universe. It makes perfect sence to add charachters that don't die no matter what.

Epic truth.
I can see possibly 2-3 new squadmates but I don't want anymore than that. I want my ME2 team back and augment them with any returning squadmtes from ME1. I want to see our current cast of characters evolve as we finish the final chapter.

So if ME2 survivors are ME3 NPCs, they are not there or don't wrap things up?
Don't be ridiculous, people!
"I don't want them as NPCs, I want them only as squadmates" = "I want my pets back".

Who knows what they plan to do in the future with the series. All we know is that ME3 is supposed to wrap up all the plot points brought up in this series. I doubt any character that had an important role in the game will feature in a new series. Anderson and Udina, Hackett people like that would most likely be all. this is the final part of Shepards story and his former crewmates were a part of that story. I've never read or seen a trilogy(besides godfather, that story was never meant to be a trilogy, it just ended up that way)were the supporting cast was made irrelevent and a completely new cast besides the main person were brought in.

I don't want old Squad, I want new = "mommy I want a new puppy, I'm bored with this one"
