Hi all,

I just restarted playing ME1 in order to take my level 48 character (from my first playthrough) up to lvl 60.   I'm the impatient sort, tho, so I'm itching to fire up ME2.   Does anybody see a problem/weakness/etc with simply importing my lvl 48 character for ME2?   I figure I can always go back and do ME1 again (for lvl 60), then replay ME2 as well to get any benefits.

Thanks for any input!

If you're on PC and just want to get the extra benefits without playing through the game again, you can look up cheats on the Wiki (just search cheats) for giving your character experience.

Otherwise to answer your question, you'll have to probe a bit more, and you'll start out with less cash and fewer bonus levels (+1 level for 40-49? I think? Maybe not) but you certainly aren't GIMPING yourself in any way. It's just a nice bonus for the lazy.

Just my opinion, but go through the game again and get a few more levels at least.

The difference between starting at level 1 vs 4(or whatever your bonus is) is very significant. I at least tend to max out my paragon/renegade conversation skill first, so the extra level headstart means I am not suffering to long from lack of weapon skills :P

Finally, by the time you finish the next me1 game hopefully the next dlc will be out.
