I'd give it another month before we hear about any large scale DLC in all honesty. It's kind of early to start talking about those kinds of things given how recently the game was released.

Take it as a complement for the game - we want more - and we want it now. I agree armor and weapons are nice DLC but not what I covet. I know DA:O has been out longer, but when I see stories about their DLC I get a little green. It's a bit silly and childish, but I hope they make an announcement about something next month.

You clearly aren't old enough to remember real video games and game systems. No one cried when they beat The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and wanted a new dungeon to explore. When the game was over it was over. DLC is just bonus', People have to remember that. I didn't buy Mass Effect 2 for the DLC that may have come, I got it for the game on the disc.

It will come when it comes.

I agree with that... and there is already rumors that there will be a dlc character named Kasumi.  So don't worry yourself to death about it.

Actually DLC exists because the Developers are thoughtful enough to make it for us in the first place. They don't have to make it for us, and given the 'gimme' attitude of some people on these forums I wouldn't fault them for cutting us off entirely. <_<
The large scale DLC will come out when it's ready - no sooner, no later.

Mass Effect 2 hasnt had more DLC than the first. Unless you count the cerberus network DLC. I really dont count that. That was purposly keep as DLC to decrease used game sales. They could of easily put that on the disk if they wanted.

Mass Effect 2 had only the shotgun and armor post launch. Thats hardly more than Mass Effect 1.

The Legend of Zelda a link to the past was back during the internets infancy. This game was built for DLC. There are even markers for the Hammerhead DLC and Kasumi DLC in the game already. Thats all I really want. Those 2 pieces are already somewhat in the game.

The games 1 month anniversary would of been a nice time to release something decent. I hope that they release something soon otherwise I might loose interest in the game till the 3rd comes out.

To tell the truth I'd prefer they put all their effort into ME3.

Would you rather them rush the DLC and make it less than it should be, or take their time and do it right and give us something that is as epic as it is relevant to the game? I myself do not mind the wait if it produces the latter... and agreed with those who say that DLC is a 'bonus' and is done out of the kindness of the dev's collective hearts in most cases... Seriously, making a game is nowhere near as easy as playing one. Be patient, they won't let us do without... Though from some of the opinions presented thusly, I can tell that even if they released a terabyte's worth of DLC that includes nearly every bit of drivel and thoughtful discussion posted here, someone somewhere will still be unsatisfied and **** about it.

Bioware is a part of EA now. DLC=$$$. EA wants $$$. Why would they leave all that money burning holes in people's pockets when it could be filling their coffers. It's a smart business decision if nothing else. That's one of the reasons they made ME2 more DLC friendly than ME1.
