I'm pretty sure this is the right forum to place this topic in.. I'm just having trouble with the suicide mission at the end of ME2.  For my tech specialitist I send Tali in the shafts and have Samara run the firing squad, every time I do this Tali dies.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Am I not supposed to send in Samara?

Send in Garrus or Miranda. Only way she'll survive.

Leaders: Miranda/Jacob/Garrus

Biotic: Samara/Jack

Also, is Tali loyal? Only choose specialists that are loyal, including fire team leaders.

Loyal Tali/Legion as Tech Specialist/vent , Loyal Garrus as Leader, loyal squad mate as escort (I recommend Mordin), Loyal Samara as biotic, Loyal Garrus as Leader.

Everyone will survive this way, so long as you don't have disloyal squad mates in those positions. Having too many disloyal squad mates in general will likely get someone killed.

Thank you guys so much. I always though Samara would be the best choice to send in as the squad leader, since she's like 1,000 years old and disceplined.

I'll go and re-due the end battle now.

I chose Thane for my tech specialist... He did well and then took a headshot as we were trying to close some random huge doors... But I figured that it was a heroic death, since he was dying anyway. I chose Miranda and Garrus for team leaders, and sent (loyal) Jacob back with the crew. I only lost two people... then again, I've only done the suicide mission once so far.

Samara has no experience leading a team. She works solo as Justicar.
