I was wondering if there is a list anywhere of fights the Infiltrator class can skip by running through cloaked?  I couldn't find anything with a search here.

From what I've read, and a few I've done myself, here's what I've come across so far:
  • Archangel recruitment - can rush to the shutters, although may still have to hold off an enemy from coming through (?)
  • Mordin recruitment - can rush to the switch to trigger the second fan
  • Zaeed loyalty - can cloak through the final room to get to the final cutscene.  A multi-stage process, have to cloak to each of two rooms on the side, shoot and activate the YMIR mech (to extend the drawbridge), then cloak to the door.
  • I think I've read that there is a part of the Collector's ship that can be skipped, but I don't remember which part.
  • Likewise, I think I remember reading that a part of Haestrom can be skipped
Any others worth mentioning?

A large part of Tali's loyalty mission can be skipped.
If you can reach her father's corpse, all the enemies beforehand will disappear.
Can easily be done with a Soldier, Vanguard, or Sentinel as well.

On Legion's loyalty mission after you've set up the bomb, you can skip past the initial geth and the prime at the end.

N7 Mission, Aequitas or something like that, with the bazillion husks. If you can manage to shoot both the bombs, the mission will end. Charged a far off husk on my Vanguard and just pew-pewed both boms. Adrenaline Rushed through them on my Soldier. I hate husks.

I've done a stealth-run through the entire Derelict Reaper mission. Only shot fired was a nuke into the reactor core. I did take a few hits along the way when my cloak was down, but nothing I had to fight my way out of.

Yup.

There are several points in Tali's annoying loyalty mission where the geth seem to be respawning non-stop out of the next door. If you cloak through the door, the spawns immediately stop, and the geth have trouble walking back through the door.

I think I've read that there is a part of the Collector's ship that can be skipped, but I don't remember which part.

1. For the valves/vents section, hitting the last valve automatically goes to the cutscene. If you time Tactical Cloak/Adrenaline Rush right, you can skip 3-4 valves even on Insanity.

2. For the biotic barrier section, if you have a refreshable shield ability (GSB, Tech Armor, Barrier), you can dash to the door once you see the very last abomination climbing up from the right side. It prevents a good amount of waiting for the biotic to walk through.

Archangel recruitment - can rush to the shutters, although may still have to hold off an enemy from coming through

Adrenaline Rush in this part is funny, because the timer isn't affected by the slowdown. Using Adrenaline Rush once you've hit the shutter makes the enemies crawl to you in slow motion with the timer still counting down normally.

At the end of the disabled collector vessel you can just sneak by to the escape ship once you take down the Praetorian.

Not really a skippable part but, on the final fight on Horizon, if you don't go down the stairs as you enter room/area, you can snipe the two Scions without them reacting at all. They are both hidden behind cover but one has a "shoulder" exposed, the other one has the canon of its rifle exposed.

Depending on your ammo powers, the thermal clips you have and the difficulty level, you can kill both, or kill one and severely damage the other (insanity). It feels a bit like cheating but it makes the fight SOOOO much easier (just a bunch a husks to kill, not a single heavy weapon ammo used).

Wow. Wish I'd known that when I did the mission before. It would have made things easier.

This also works for Inflitrators when zooming the sniper rifle. Just constantly go in and out of zoom.

If you have a squadmate with Warp (or some other instant ability) and your crosshair zoom is precise, you can kill both of them by spamming Warp with the squadmate. No ammo necessary.

If you kill both Scions before walking in, you skip an entire phase.

Scions do not infiltrate.

How far down the steps do you actually have to be to get squaddies to do this?

I tried this on one of my recent playthroughs and no matter how good my targetting was (to the point I could hit them fine with even an SMG) if I tried to direct my party members to attack they did nothing?

Edit: Also on the collector ship trap mission, once you get to that final part where Joker tells you to hurry up and there just a bunch of husks in the way you can just rush past them and get to the kodiak. This can obviously be done with any class.

I just had Miranda's Warp on my hotbar. Zoomed in with a pistol as if I were going to shoot the Scion's body part, and just kept pressing that button.

Also forgot with the Collector Base:

As a Soldier with Adrenaline Rush and the Revenant Machine Gun, I was able to destroy all 4 injection tubes in one Adrenaline Rush.

Scrap metal everywhere, 3 platforms skipped.

This thread is far too useful to simply fade away...

Tali's Recruitment Mission - Not exactly skipping, but rushing up to the catwalk on the far right side seems to stop the constant geth respawn, while approaching from the left continues it.

Weird.

The more important question is...

Where the blazes did Ecael get the EDI avatar? That's not in any of my portrait sets. How exactly did I lame out and not get an EDI AV?

You can only upload custom avatars if you have Dragon Age for the PC (which I think you have, correct?)

Custom avatars by 'tricking' Dragon Age uploads

What custom avatar are you planning on, anyway?

Oh sweet.  Yes, I own DA PC.   Good to know, but I think I'm too timid to risk the ire of the Biogods by not graciously lapping up the meager selection of "official" AVs they deign to grace us with.

I wouldnt mind a Conrad Verner AV though.  I'd be the envy of all.

Anyways, apologies for threadjack...please continue on topic.

Conrad Verner would be great - I don't think I've seen anyone use one.

Also, you don't have to take my word for it, but:

I really doubt that you'll incur their wrath unless you post something that is not BioWare-related in your avatar. The forum threads themselves allow you to post giant pictures of anything you wish right in the thread, so I don't think they even worry about the avatars.

I've had my custom avatar for a while, and no warning or anything.

On the topic of skipping areas, I think the battles are half the fun. :( Though I suppose on Insanity some of them can get tedious.

The battles are most of the fun, yes, but in areas when enemies are respawning constantly with no end in sight, you start to realize why BioWare did away with individual enemy XP.

More shortcuts:

Thane's Loyalty - When Jorim Talid and his bodyguard get to the "AQUILA" store, I update Thane one more time and run towards the club, into the stock room, Paragon or punch the worker (depending on my character) and run to the door on the far right, never even bothering to look back at the mark. The door at the end of the short hallway automatically activates the successful cutscene. The Aquila store and that door is just enough distance that Thane won't automatically end the mission.

Also, looks like Spyndel got his Conrad avatar working.:P

I know this is a fairly old thread, but I just came across some notes I took on my insanity run but forgot to post here.

Some of this is touched on in previous posts, but here's what I've got to add.

Tali's Loyalty mission: You can skip through the very first room of enemies, once you get through there is a cutscene you trigger in the room on the left. Also, you can sneak through two rooms prior to finding Tali's father. You'll take out one geth, climb some stairs, then sneak through the next large room. I think there might be a cutscene you can trigger in this small hallway, but regardless you cloak through the next room, going downstairs, and reach tali's father.

Reaper IFF: As you are moving along the walkways, before you make the final left turn towards the reaper core, there is a square area where you fight two scions. After you've killed those two, you can run (uncloaked) to the door that needs bypassed, activate cloak, and if you are very quick with the mini-game you can open the door without getting hit. You have to bolt to the second door to trigger the cutscene and enter the reaper core.

I like to ninja my way to the final door (before destroying the core) on the Reaper IFF mission instead of killing the 10 Scions you meet along the way.

Tactical Cloak FTW
