Mass Effect is one of my least favorite Bioware game, while the sequel is one of my favorite right behind Baldur's Gate 2.



ME1 might have an overall better story, but suffers from some poor execution(VERY poor execution in some cases).

Well, I don't typically like to say sales = quality, because they don't.

But I've seen fan response to anywhere but here to be almost universally praising it. (slight edit made to sentence structure- bah).

Couple that with the fact that I've been on enough boards belonging to a wide variety of fandoms to know by this point that anything and everything, even if it is considered good by the majority of people there will be a subset calling it the worst thing ever.

hey forget you how the hell would i get amused by this i just wanted to see what other people thought, i also wanted to see if they feel like it was a well spent 60 bucks by buying mass effect 2 i know it was worth it for me

 I will say if Bioware wanted to divide the fan base of the game they have done a very good job. Why yes I like the icons way to much

Yeah I experienced that enough for a lifetime dealing with Chrono Trigger fans railing against Chrono Cross. They will be purists who enjoy the original despite what might be universally accepted as improvements.

Oh I am sorry if you can not accept the cold hard honest truth thats your problem not mine. but the fact of the matter is critics and fans a like both agree that Mass Effect 2 is the better game. 2 Million sold proves that its better. Its about time you Mass Effect 1 fans accept and deal with it the changes and stop crying

I'll get right on that chief. LOL. That 2 Million figure only proves how successful ME1 was the way I see it.(word gets around/ ME2 riding on the sucess of ME1)

You know that if you're gonna troll it makes it better if you actually know what the **** yer talkin about right?  Since ME1 sold twice as many copies as ME2 with 1/10 the advertising and without being an eagerly awaited sequel that ended up at the last minute not being a sequel in anything but a theoretical sense, right?

Unless Mass Effect only sold 120 thousand after its release over two years ago.... It did not sell over 2 million on release.

I don't know if vgchartz is accurate but I've never heard the 5 mill figure either and the more I recollect the more sure I am that Mass Effect 1 did NOT sell 2 mill on release.

I would not be surprised if ME1 sales picked up due to ME2 players getting interested in making their own choices rather than the default setting (which i am playing now and i can say its sucky)

The burden of proof lies on the one who gave the number. ME2 sales are openly announced by EA itself.

I do know people who did not have it or those who had it on the Xbox and wanted to switch to PC did indeed buy ME1 so I'm sure there was a sizable spike.

 Critics can be bought I am sure everyone remember the made up ones Sony had a few years back. I hope Bioware mocks and belittles the "vocal minority" just like SOE. Oh wait they had to change there name since they were reabsorbed into Sony I guess you can not do that.

 I also find it funny everyone "hates" the mako yet all you can see is when are we going to get the new vehicle. Yep that damn vocal minority is at it again giving the majority what they do not want. Really the people that wanted to see the second of a trilogy be better then the first are fools. What is this making a better product crap you talking about? Only fools do that crap we must have a mediocre game for the second one. Just give us ammo clips and call them something else. Give us a pokémon collection quest to collect pet  creat...I mean squad mates.

 The third one will so rock bigger guns and the squad mates from ME2. Ignore the fact all but two could be dead we whine enough they will give us all of them. It worked in giving us ammo since we lacked the self control not to load weapons with frictionless mods and let us shot forever till a batrian tech uses overload on us.



 I am happy people like ME2 but it depends to much on flash and not enough on substance for me. Between Dragon Age and ME2 I have to pick Dragon Age because there expansion pack atleast seems to do more to move that story forward then this pinnacle station expansion pretending to be a sequal

I am not against a vehicle, its just that the Mako was done so poorly I honestly did not miss it. I would love a vehicle with good controls, there is no contradiction. I suspect that for many of those who complained bout the Mako but are looking forward to the Hammerhead, this is the case.

 I liked useing the  Mako's cannon but in ME2 just does not feel like there is any place for one. There are no anti tank turrets and you are dropped at the front door of most bases. I am sure they will add a use for it but as the game is now just feels out of place to have one now for me. I have to remeber to add "for me" or people may get the silly idea I am trying to make them think like me and really no one wants to think like me not even me 


 Oh well off to dreamland I hear good things about the place and so want to see if it lives up to the hype /jk
