I sure as hell hope we get at least one more light-armor model. Preferably something loose...

New armor models? Haven't seen any. Even the black/red armor we've seen is just a recolored texture on top of the standard Orlesian Plate Armor.

The one bright spot was the 2H weapon animations.

New weapon models for sure.
I'm sort of hoping for more straight-edge greatswords like Yusaris myself. One thing Origins was sorely lacking in was reasonable incentive to use a mace, so if Bioware chose to expand on that it wouldn't be unwise.

There hasn't been a clear shot yet, but apparently there's a black set of armor with two(?) scarlet gems encrusted into the breastplate. It looked all kinds of badass from what we were shown.

That shot looked like Cailan's armor recolored to black with the eyes on the chestpiece glowing. So not really a new model. But did look very nice.

Are you kidding? DA:O featured weapon and armour models designed by people who clearly know very little about functional weapons and armour. I mean, it's not as bad as something like WoW, but...

Who'd wear massive armor in real infantry combat? Where is my lance & griffon?

Dragon Age Origins featured some of the best armor and weapon models in an RPG. I am curious if any new weapons and armor that will be featured in Awakening will have new models that were not present in Origins?
I don't think we played the same game.
I don't have a problem with the armor models, but they certainly weren't even in the top 10 as far as game's go. They were bland and the textures got reused too much.
The majority of the armor was just different colored version of the same model.
The coolest armor in the game, Duncan's, isn't even usable by the player.
I'm really hoping for some diversity in the armors' appearance.
And dude... you really think the helmet models in Dragon Age are top notch? Seriously?!!

We need more rogue armor. I am tired of my rogue looking like a thief when he is supposed to be the commander of the Wardens and the future King Consort.
Agreed. Some Duncan-like armor would be cool; elaborate yet obviously offering a good form of protection. I personally would like some sort of hood + cloak too like the assassin's creed guys have with some light plates under it.

I wish the Ancient Elven Armor was a bit better because of this. It really is good-looking armor.

Part of the reason im becoming skeptical is because we just havnt seen any new shiny models. How can I play an orlesian warden who looks like a ferelden scrub. I 4ght they were elaborate lol.

What I find most depressing though is the lack of good community made armour. DAONexus has been up for months and even that has nothing but recolours and (I believe) there is still no community made or dev released tool for exporting and importing models. If there is one please let me know how to find it!
