Maybe that is why Shepard Romances so many people in ME2. He is developing a co-dependent personality to deal with all the stress. He needs someone... by his side....

Seriously, I doubt Shepard will snap but there is a few a dialogue options that hint to Shepard being a little under the weather. He really does need that hug Kelly is offering. Heh.. make you wonder why Kelly was assigned to the Normandy after all.

can you name a few dialogue options?I think Shep had nightmares due to the beacons in ME1

When Joker is happy about the new Normady, "This is a copy". Shepard makes a snarky commet about "I sure hope so.. I died." After meeting Ashley or Kaiden, you can make a comment about how all of this is bull and it just shows you how much you lost in the last 2 years. Shepard's dialogue after Horizon, "I had enough of this place." Or when Liara reveals she was behind your body being given to Cerberus and you say "So am I". You rip into her for doing all of this to you.

Shepard is obviously under the weather and is definately not happy.

But Shepard's sexiness will make her revolt too.

Well, my Shepard drinks an awful lot in ME2. In my mind she is very close to a breakdown, but manages to keep herself together by sheer will.

Shepard is so unique. Everyone says that any normal person would have changed but not Shepard. And I don't think Shepard's life was normal before the beacon. I mean Hero/Ruthless/Sole Survivor doesn't sound very normal.



Also I love the line Samara says about humans "In a room of 3 humans you'll have 6 opinions" That is also probably the reason the collectors are so interested in them. Also everytime something happens humans are unique in the verse and Shepard is just that much more unique amongst the human's.



Next space game lets have a race that isn't human that we relate all our human biases too

Up until Eden Prime, Shepard was a normal space marine.  The missions were fairly mundane and he/she is a good officer amongst peers.

Cue the beacon and everything goes to hell in a handbasket at warp speed.

I dunno about you....but how can a space marine, even a Spec. Ops one deal with mowing down machines that haven't been seen in centuries, deal with coded visions burned into their head, actually MEET a Reaper and hold a conversation..... take on an egomanic rogue Spectre- defeat its poessessed form- make a galactic changing decision with the Council and come out okay?


That's just the start

Cue ME2. Shepard dies. Collectors and other NPC's saw you get spaced and you died. You're brought back ot life by a Anti-Alliance terrorist cell. Friends and loved ones moved one. Shepard missed two YEARS from his/her life.

Reapers are invading. No one cares.

Shepard pulls the IMPOSSIBLE- going headlong into Collector space and takes own the main base. In my Shep's case she got all squad/crew out, but that's beside the point....



That's a LOT to deal with. NPC's say that yeah, most would have been broken, etc.... but I just don't buy it.

Unless Shepard's willpower is stronger than Revan.... first and foremost, Shepard's only human, and can crack due to stress.....

and this, ladies and gents is a LOT of stress.
