Are there any plans to patch it so that the paragon out comes register and the save files transfer correctly?

you're going to have to be more clear on what the issue is.

He means that when talking to Conrad he mentions you shoving a gun in his face regardless, when only Renegade Shepards will have done this.

Conrad Verner is simple. Every import treats Conrad as if you stuck a gun in his face in ME1 (the Renegade option). What we are wondering is if this is a simple mistake, or simply how Conrad was supposed to show up in ME2.

If the work was done to present Conrad in a way that reflected your paragon action in ME1, then all the work that went into it is currently going to waste as all ME1 paragon imports treat Conrad as if you chose the renegade option. As for the besieged base, I assume it's the journal entry mix up the OP is talking about, otherwise I am also unclear on what the issue is.

That's what I figured he meant for conrad but I have no idea what he means by besieged base. If he's talking about the mission with the nuclear missile destroying the city or the research facility it is recording your choices correctly... But I'm not sure.

I copied this from a pc thread, but the problem is not just a xbox360 problem. It should be fixed in both versions of the game (just like the conrad verner bug).
"Sirta Foundation - Even if the paragon UNC: Besieged Base assignment was completed without a single scientist death in ME1 the galatic news will suggest that Sirta suffered an attack two years ago and is likly to close. This is often mentioned as a bug, and may be, but the game appearently doesn't read for the outcome of the Besieged Base assignment."

Please have a look at this thread mentioning most problems in the pc version:
http://social.biowar...46824/1#1335077

Xbox360 thread:
http://social.biowar...07/index/916218
But i guess you know that thread, because it is "sticky hot topic"

Mass Effect 2 is a great game it deserves to be nearly bug free. Please, a second patch for the pc version and a patch for the 360 would be great.

Both easily fanwanked:

1) Conrad says you put a gun in his face regardless of whether you did or not because he is posing for the bartender.

2) Sirta Foundation 'never recovered' from the biotic cult attack regardless of whether there were civilian casualties or not. The stock took a dive and 'never recovered'.

"Not difficult!"

If I remember the Conrad Verner side-quests, the 2nd part has Conrad asking for a photo of Shepard poising with his/her gun. Then add the lawyering aspect...

Besieged Base is the paragon Shepard mission in ME1.

It is where you have to save the drugged scientists from the crazy biotics.

I don't know if you're going to poke our head back into this thread, but there's another similar possible bug situation to the beseiged base issue.

Shiala, the Consort, sent my Paragon an email, and it indicated to me that she appeared to be doing well, after I helped her with all of her issues way back in ME1. Then later, I heard a Galactic News announcement that she was leaving the Citadel amidst rumours of information leaks? That sounds more like something that would happen if I hadn't helped her, making me think that it's a carry-over issue similar to the besieged base issue. Any chance that could be looked into as well? :D

Sorry to not elaborate at first; but everyone else seemed to clarify what I meant. Also, along with the Besieged Base bug no matter the outcome (even if you save every scientist) if you here the news report referring to that quest in the elevator on the citadel, it says it turned into a massacre.

Would be nice to hear something official once the Conrad bug has been fixed. I'd hold off playing with my Paragorn Import again until then.

you could probably still play the game. I'm not sure if this is being fixed right away and I'd hate to have someone wait for something that might not be fixed for some time. If I hear anything I'll post in here and let you know.

Still playing the game, but it'd be nice for people and events to transfer over correctly!

Thanks for clearing that up. It's just that it's really quite annoying that i happens that way, because importing your ME1 character and seeing how he affected the Galaxy is one of the best things about this game.

I really hope it all gets fixed soon. I was afraid the game would have some sort of continuity error all along.

Please, BioWare, fix those bugs. I'm sure a few, if not less, lines of code would do the job.

Thanks in advance. I know you can and will do it!

Incidentally, Besieged Base seemed to be glitched even within ME1 itself; if you passed without civilian casualties, the 'news' on the Citadel would mention a massacre. At a guess, it's a binary flag where it should have three settings.

I thought if you were a Renegade shep to Conrad he'd die in different ways and thus wouldn't actually be in the game in any case. Also, the voice actor recorded his lines so I would doubt it'd be as simple really as just flipping some switch statements around in code or whatever (but what would I know? I didn't work on the game itself).

But as an aside, even if the researchers did die it wouldn't make sense for Sirta Foundation; the company that invented the 'technically illegal' medi-gel substance would ever become bankrupt... I mean, think about it they have created perhaps the only unalienable product ever... every single industry/business would need it.

Yes I noticed on one of my savegame imports, Conrad doesn't show up unless you fully complete the mass effect 1 quest all the way. If you just let him take your picture, you won't see him in 2.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but i had said before in another forum, That there is no Conrad glitch. If or when you play through again, pay closer attention to the whole scene. He is trying to act like a bad***. When you select him for dialog, He gets shaken up a bit by seeing Shepard and then quickly goes back into his act. When you get his attention again (shoot foot, kick,or other) to stop.
He will say:(game 1 Paragon) " You were a hero, then you died, ........
(game 1 Renegade) " You were a big Jerk, then you died,......

If this is true, then I've genuinely underestimated the literary prowess of the Bioware writing team.<3

Good eye (or ear!), earth-clan;)

As much as I'd like to believe that, Hadark, I think someone should confirm it.
