I'm working on my 4th playthrough and I'm wondering if I should bring along Tali and Garrus this time.  I was dissapointed that Liara had nothing to say to them, but then again I always hated Liara.

So, do you hear Wrex, Garrus, and Tali exchange any dialogue the way Ashley/Kaiden and Garus did?

No for Garrus. I'm guessing the same for Tali.

Mmm, nope. I mean, Garrus was the only one I took few times for this talk, but who knows, maybe if you have both Tali and Garrus, they mention something.

im pretty sure thats a negative.

on the bright side, if you leave tali with garrus during his recruitment, she also says "just like old times" (i think you can only do this on the PC though)

I have the PC version and you can't do that without hacking it.

Tali's dossier isn't sent to you until after Horizon and you can't do Horizon before recruiting Garrus.

Tali interacts with Ash/Kaidan too.
How sad is it that 2 out of 3 of these interactions were cut from the game?

It is kinda weird that one of the few continuity nods regarding your ME1 squadmates is completely impossible to see without modding.

For those who are curious, it's in this video at 0:22.

There's the Tali/Garrus dialogue on the Citadel, don't remember if I've come across any others not already mentioned.

Interesting video. I can only assume that it was originally planned for you to be able to recruit characters in any order, and they only put in the limitations later.

Story-wise, I like it better the way it actually is in-game, despite the reduction of interactions. It makes it feel like things are progressing, and lessens the feeling that the entire universe is in stasis except when you are present.

The recruitment limitations likely happened because the game had to be made on two discs (with no reinserting disc 1) for the xbox people. Oh well.

It is the root cause of many a tear, as detailed on the salt smeared pages of Dear Diary.
I guess besides Shepard, the others on the Normandy just weren't that close! *sob*
