For some reason this didn't happen on my initial playthrough but has on each and every one of them since.

Basically when you get to the loading screen before you get to create Shepard for ME2, it freezes. Always. Meanign I've gone through that 10 minute unskippable intro way more times than I'd like.

Now this is why I think it's a bug. It only freezes if I play from the hard drive. If I delete my install and play from disc, it plays fine. So this works as a quick fix, but I'd like to know if this can be patched as I currently have to do the following every time I reroll a character (even if it's an import of an existing ME2 character.

Delete ME2 disc 1 install
Play to Shep creation off disc.
Save at the earliest opportunity.
Reinstall disc 1 before continuing to play.

I know I'm not the only one who's had this issue either. It's not gamebreaking but incredibly frustrating and puts me off repeat playthroughs (a little anyway)

please I just want to know if it's possible this could be patched.

Just did it again even while playing off the disc.



If I'm unable to create/import any more new characters this is a big problem.



And I'm now soooo sick of the opening bit. :/

I'm experiencing the same problem, except i never had it on my hard drive. I've played through twice now and this is the first time this has happened. I turned the xbox off and then back on again but it didn't fix the problem. It may be worth noting that my xbox red ringed on my second play through, so this is the first time ive played it on this physical xbox.

  Clear your cache on the hard drive and you will be good, you will have to reinstall the update but it does it automatically and only takes a few seconds

Same here. No problems with the first two ME1 imports.

But it happened to me twice today - once after importing my 3rd ME1 Shepard, and once when creating a brand new ME2 Shepard.

And like the OP mentioned, it's really painful to have this happen after sitting through that long intro.

Just had this happen a 3rd time. Cleared my xbox cache and still having the problem. We need a patch or something because this is ridiculous. I need a solution.

Yup, just happened to me, beat ME1, imported character to ME2 and froze right before you get to tweak with his face, just loading for like ever.... please fix this!
