Just from picking up some of rhe loose ends from ME1 and ME2, what do you think will be the main plot features in ME3 will be? There's a lot of cool stuff to choose from or imagine...

The Krogan population seems to be adapting to the genophage, trouble brewing there?
Will the Quarians gather their forces against the Geth, or team up with them to strike at the Reapers?
The Rakkni, anything going on there? Any of the other races, like Vorcha or Batarians lashing out in an attempt to gain the favour of the Reapers?
Hunt for the Shadowbroker?
Banes surfaces and finally explains why he died and then started blackmailing for medical supplies?
A chance to finally stick that cigarette where the sun don't shine on the illusive man?

What are you guys expecting and/or hoping for? Cool ideas or expectations?

I'm not really sure what I want for ME3 as I am still wanting some good story DLC. I'd love to do Liara's getting Shep from the shadow broker and then in go after the shadow broker.

I really, really do want to meet TIM in person and show him how I really feel. I'd love to sit down and talk to Emily Wong and tell her what is really going on (of course after telling the Counsel that if they do not listen to me I'm going to tell the verse what I think. I still do owe her an interview.) I want to take full advantage of being a Specter or showing them why I told them to shove it whent they offered it to me. I'm so tired of them talling me that everyone is brainwashing me and that I'm crazy for talking of the reapers.

I want to be able to lose an squad-mate at any time do to a stupid mistake not just at the final mission. There are way too many possibilities based on my different actions to actually make a game out of it but I'd love to have my actions all come to fruition. Aria is still unfinished on Omega as far as I'm concerned. I have a lot of team members to deal with.

So many questions I have that I want answered but so many decisions that are different that I think some will fall away.

That would be interesting and could makes sense since the Admiral you ask about information on him dies by Cerberus after you find his dead team also killed by Cerberus.

Ooh, evil. "Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!"

I'm hoping they don't turn all of citadel space into a burning heap of rubble after some initial assault, since I generally find "warzones" in games to be quite poor. You fight a battle and some building is burning. You stop by three weeks later, that same building is still burning, right along side that half broken window that you can't seem to break even with a BFG and a pfhat proton torpedo. Things like that generally put me off no matter how cool lighting effects.

I personally don't understand how we're supposed to strike at the
Reapers, if they're hiding in deep space somewhere. It's not like you
stop by at your local fuel station for supplies when out there. We'd
have to salvage something from one of those Reapers, like an evil
drivecore that chews asteroids and farts ion plasma out the exhaust
pipe, thereby providing limitless amounts of fuel and ammunition or
something.

Discovering new twisted experiments like the collectors and stuff like that is something I'll look forward to.

Now that I think about it, I pretty much want the Dominion War.

My thoughts exactly. Was Kahoku btw. Your pal. That Cerberus killed.
I always kept wondering about Banes.
But any main plot with the depth of me1 would be awesome.

P.s. Akuze, we will never forgive and never forget !

There are SO many ways this could go. Fortunately, ME3 is the end so they don't have to worry about continuity into another game. They can pretty much cut loose with divergent endings and events.

Obviously defeating the incoming Reapers will be the overarching plot, but there are a lot of subplots to that.

There are the already-introduced ideas of marshaling your forces:

The Rachni, the Geth and/or Quarians, and the Krogan, which all potentially involve resolving disputes or moral dilemmas. There is also the question of, perhaps, gathering evidence to present to the council in order to get the Alliance and/or the Council races to back you up. This may also hinge on things dating back to ME1 -- whether the council is saved, and whether Udina (who is disinclined to believe your Reaper story) or Anderson (who does believe you) is the human representative.

There is also the question of Cerberus. If you destroyed the base, you may very well be working against TIM. Your work with them, however, may be a sticking point in trying to get Council backing. To that end, what you did with the Cerberus activity data may be a pivotal plot point, both in gaining their backing and in the resolution of the Ashley/Kaiden subplot.

Speaking of romantic subplots, Liara vs. the Shadow Broker is bound to be important, especially in the resolution of your relationship with her. Whether she succeeds or not, whether your relationship can be salvaged... even whether she lives or dies likely hinges on how you handle her and the Shadow Broker in ME2 and in ME3.

Man, I can't wait to see what happens...

What I want for the prologue:

TIM/ one of your crewmates betrays Shepard. (S)he gets taken back to TIM's main base, where he tortures and imprisons Shep in an effort to turn him/her into a pliable pawn. Shep's two surviving squadmates from ME1 swoop in and save his (her) a** for a change.

The recruitment of specific fleets commences from there.
