in the safer parts of the galaxy? i thought it was well done in dragon age.. for instance with the talk of "duct rats" on the citadel seeing a few would have been swell

No, if I'm ignoring my children to play a game, I don't want to be reminded of the responsibilities I'm currently shirking......

Seriously though, no. And I don't want any Shep juniors either. This is a war series, and dead children's bodies aren't high up on things I want to see in ME.

I'd like to see more children. It'd be a lot more realistic and make the world more believable. I've always wondered where the heck are children in ME1 and ME2 lol....there literally are NONE to be seen...anywhere...

I started thinking of the movie "Children of Man" haha.

Seeing a few kids might add a bit more "human element" (forgive the pun), but I'm not a super big fan of kids in settings like this.

If they do add a couple kids, hopefully they'll be like the little girl in Terminator Salvation. See, if you're going to have a kid in a dark setting, that's how you handle it. Never says a word, never does something stupid that endangers everyone, and has a handful of really cute moments.

On the flipside, there's Will's Smith's ANNOYING son in the Day the Earth Stood Still, who was the only non-antagonist character I've ever wanted to die, so badly!

I wouldn't mind having them to add to the realism. Being on a planet saving a remote colony and seeing a mother holding her dead child and crying would be awesome, it would really add to the despair of situations. But as a talk to-able characters, no, I didn't like it in Fallout 3, it felt wrong.

So if they had children randomly running past you on the citadel that would be cool.

I'd be for having children in game, having kids around tends to add an air of believability to a universe, there doesn't have to be many but if you could run into a little duct rat on the citadel or something it'd just add a lot I think.

In fact one of the biggest things I disliked about Bethesda's TES games was that the open worlds were completely devoid of kids, Fallout 3 had some kids in amongst the adults and it really made the world a LOT more believable for me.

Before we're seeing any children, I'd rather get females of other species put in the game. And I strongly doubt Bioware will be able to room that many models. So probably either females or children. >.o

I don't think I'd expect to see any children on worlds like Omega or the Citadel, and if you did, they'd most likely be un-interactable (that a word?) considering they'd hopefully be with their parents, or too shady to just speak to some random group of people.

However, on colonies, I would expect to see at least one or two. I would also expect to be able to interact with these ones, considering it's a more calm, safe enviorment.

With that being said, I'm also in favor of seeing females of the other species before seeing children.

If I wanted to 'see' children I'd date Liara.

I don't care either way really. There probably wouldn't be many children in the places you go anyway (besides the colonies)

I'd like it. I'm also for a more believable world. But first they should all the missing females of most species.

A waste of resources, IMO. It wouldn't add much to the game.

A waste of resources, the art effort that would be put into it would be better spent into actual combat outfits for team mates.

I want a kid squadmate sniper specialist. :D

And make it a girl that looks like one of the Gunslinger Girls. :3 That would be so awesome!

No, I really hope they don't add children into mass effect. It would only be a potential source of lawsuits for the company. Rather they add in female turians/krogans and other things we have not seen.
