I wouldn't mind going to the Krogan female camp in ME3 to pick up grunt,  and seeing some little Krogan's butting heads.

They'd probably only feature in non-combat areas, so I doubt there'd be much of an issue.  I doubt they'd go the Dante's Inferno route and have an achievement for baby killing.  Even a Renegade isn't THAT over the top.  

Besides, how many children can you cause the death of or even worse in DA:O?  No issues there, although I don't think there's any event where you actually kill them directly.

Though about the topic title... Yes, I'm hoping for a happy ending with Liara and Femshep in ME3.

i agree with the waste of resources sentiment. Didn't care that there wern't female turians or salarians in ME1
Didn't care in ME2. Don't care that there aren't kids. Most of the non-combat stuff is just representational anyway, and i'm fine with imagining.

Edit: okay so i thought about this a little more and the lack of females is a little weird. In a perfect world they would be in there. but it is very low on my list of "wants" for ME3

Ok they are adding in new forms, you already have weird people in this thread wanting to drag around kid companions and kill things. All you need is one idiot to create an actual mod to do this and some group will blame some shooting on it. They sue bioware, even when they lose it costs bioware lots of money. Heck some Lawyers for larger companies charge $500 an hour.

Most of the areas in the game would be quite unrealistic to have any kids at all in the first place. Although an Asari child would probably be adorable.

People did it with Fallout 3. A bunch of people were pissed that kids weren't killable in the game. So someone modded it so you could kill the kids. Just like the first 2 fallouts

Okay, I for one am okay with no children in the game--granted, you'd kind of expect them in places like the Citadel running around doing shopping and fun kid stuff. However, the moment you add in kids, people are going to start hounding to see Commander Shepard's kids. And then you'll get people wanting alien-human hybrid kids, which are just impossible even by the rather loose science of the game.

I'd like to see some mention of a potential child with your LI.....more of a "I'm pregnant" line at the end or perhaps during...nothing too serious for those that don't take a love interest..just a mention and reaction in a small way...would make the fight to save the galaxy that much more personal

And how about those of us who are playing female Shepard?  Or who have a nonhuman LI?  Or--get this--don't want our Shepard to have kids?  What, mandatory pregnancy for all?  Dare I say it, but no thanks.  If it's an option somehow, then fine.  I, however, don't want to have a pregnancy forced on my character, particularly if she isn't the type to want to become pregnant (or the type who'd make a good parent to start with).  I also don't want to hear the whining that "Shepard/Miranda gets a baby so why can't I have a freakish Shepard/Thane hybrid?"

I think only people who want children to be present in the games are people who romanticize what children are really like (ie those that don't have them).

I want to see children, and Shep Juniors running around depending upon your choices in the game. Those who wish not to see them might want to avoid romances with compatible matches... like they might want to rethink romancing Liara or Kelly... Or Joker



I mean seriously, it is highly likely that any introduction of children into the games would be peripheral... I mean, its not like the SR-1 or SR-2 are family ships. But they are an important 'consequence' which BioWare seems to be really hip on.

I'm hoping there will be kids on the Citadel at least. Maybe a scene of some bunker on Earth with the elderly, civilians, children, etc. hudled together and some young child asking their mother when the "bad monsters" will go away.
