Shedevil, have you tried some chicken soup? Or if your stomach is upset, try graham crackers & ginger ale - this works wonders.

I'm a bit late, but i just have to ask: Crackers & Ginger ale? Never heard of that. Does it really work, sounds way better then what my mother always gave me when i was young!!!!!!!

It really does.  Someone had told me that & I've tried it.  I had a wicked headache & stomach ache, but I needed to get better because I was going to an Aerosmith concert later that night.  I ate some graham crackers, drank some ginger ale and laid down until I had to leave for the concert.  When I got up, no headache or stomach ache. Had a great time at the concert.  I've done this since then even when I didn't have the opportunity to lie down - works every time.

erm for a really awful cold and migrane ?   not a hangover

Agree. So then Shedevil, you really should listen to "Nights in White Satin" sung in Italian by Mario Frangoulis - you'll like it, if you like the Moody Blues song - trust me.

For a hangover, you need to drink lots of water & eat something, but nothing too heavy.  You feel bad after a hangover because your body is dehydrated.  Replenish it with water or water-based liquids (juice, tea) and you'll feel better faster.

Yeah, that's what most of us non-US consider to be the typical US accent (as opposed to say a Southern accent etc0

For a hangover, there's an ugly but working trick. Your body lost much water and salt. So before you go to bed, prepare one or two glasses of water and mix it with salt. It tastes awful and be warned, you might have to puke (i always had to), but if you drank enough salted water, when you get up, you feel pretty well and do not have a hangover.

Not too weird as I've heard of all of them.  But, perhaps, then I'm weird, too.  Hmmm...will need to think on this one...
