I thought Alistair would be mad, but he actually thanked me. I assume it had something to do with making sure Loghain died as well.
Anora never tried to have him executed, and Alistair willingly accepted her as Queen. so what ending is it that she has to be talked out of trying to execute him? This all went very smoothly for me.
Yeah !!! Wi-Fi connection found !!!
Hey Liso..for that scenario you have to:
- NOT hardener Alistair
- Spare Loghain
- Make Anora Queen
I had this in my 1st playthrough
But she doesn't try to execute him in the ending... but just after Landsmeet
Anora is an evil manipulative b**tch, how could you ever make her queen <_
No, but seriously, though i'm curious how her role would play out in Awakening, i can't bring myself to spare Loghain and make her queen...

Considering the cut-throat world of Ferelden politics, the answer might be in the question

well, maybe you're right. But given the choice between her and a person like Alistair, easy one for me. If i would have been given the choice to kill Anora right after her even more evil father, i would have done it.
Wow, now i sound cruel... Going to cuddle the kitties a little bit to calm down

I gotta agree with Curlain. Regardless who you place on the throne, Anora has already proven her skills. She has shown to be a very effective ruler.
Alistair never really wants it, even after hardening him. He thanked me for not making him king.. His ego just did not want her to have the throne. lol

Funny - if you talk to them both, and ask him what you should do, he states pretty forcefully "make me king." Uh. Who knew? The only time I attempted to make Anora queen and then asked her to spare his life, he was angry. He asked how I could have embarrased him like that and not supported him. He wasn't hardened. I was confused because he had said he didn't want to be king. I've never tried that scenario since.

Yeah, her well proven skills she uses to press even harder on the Alienage and it's inhabitant's, for example, so their situation get's even worse when she is queen. No thanks, i guess i'll just skip her incredible ruling skills and settle for someone who rules with heart and soul and companionship rather than with mere skill. I'd rather put dog on the throne.
Hmm, given the history of the monarchy of European kingdoms in the Middle Age, that idea isn't that far fetched as it intially sounds :innocent:

I married Anora with my first human noble, but then he hightailed it lead the Wardens (at Vigil's Keep I guess), Anora's just to dangerous to be around me thinks, their marriage is likely to work best with distance
Edit: as for Anora she's not my favourite person, but depending on the character I have made her queen (though usually with Alistair, often with him hardened, I think he provides a necessary counter-weight to her ruthless tendencies, just as Maric was the necessary counter-weight to Loghain)

hehe that too, but he's also a bit of a spoiled brat and an egolomaniac... He's the first character I've ever created that killed the wounded soldier in the wilds, his reasoning was that since he was conscripted into the grey wardens against his choice he would work against the grey wardens in any way and this soldier might have information that could have helped the wardens so he had to go....BostonVamp wrote...

So basically they'll make a great couple and I'm sure they'll have lovely children who'll all pull the wings off Butterflies.

I always found this rather odd and amusing, though you can ok Loghain's execution and so on, as long as you don't actually do the deed Anora has no issues with you (and it works the same way if you kill him, and she marries Alistair, she's largely ok with it despite Alistair demanding Loghain's execution in the Landsmeet, and is quite friendly to you if you survive the Archdemon battle)

Also, if you talk with Alistair at Eamon's castle after you've spoken with Anora, it seems he wants to be king.
I have found this to be true as well. However.. in the dialog, if you ask Alistair at the landsmeet "should I make Anora Queen?" He pretty much tells you yes.
I really think the way it is written, the idea is much like Loghain. Alistair's ego plays a huge part in his desire to be king. Not that he truly wants it, just that he does not want her to have it.
