Yes, it's right up there with..."Honey, you know I love you..." as a conversation starter.  My hubby did this once - phone rang and first words out of his mouth were "I love you.' My response?  "What did you do to my car? Was anyone hurt?"  Yes, he hit a coyote with my car. Everyone fine - car had imprint of coyote's head on fender. lol

those really are the precious moments aren't they BV? lol

I tend to believe she is just annoyed now when she meets her friends, she can't complain about her man not interested in her like her friends do and that'S why she was mad at me :D

Did you know there's actually a language of flowers? Each flower has a certain meaning and giving a certain flower gives this person that message... :) There's a whole listing on it on WikiPedia what they all mean, the language is apparantly something from medieval times. :)

You know how to seduce a woman?  Make her laugh and be honest - not necessarily in a mean way, but laughter & honesty go far.

How is it that everytime I use this technique they end up being my friends but not my lovers? *confused* Posted Image

I don't know.  I always went for the guys that were funny, witty & intelligent. Quirky was also helpful. They were all also musicians, oddly enough. Love is strange - can't be forced. Met my husband on-line. Tore-up the phone lines and was smitten with each other before meeting. Established lots more in common before any physical attraction. I think we sometimes let the physical get too much in the way. Connect on a deeper level first and the physical will take care of itself.

Hi Max!  Actually, I find a single flower much more romantic than a bunch of flowers. Personally, I think a single white rose is perfect. Re Alistair, it's not the rose that's attractive so much as the meaning behind it. He probably could say the same thing and not give you a rose. But the dialogue is really funny, so I'm glad they have it

So flowers can mean "done something wrong" or "cute & attractive". I'm confused!!!

I'm going to play with my female City elf for a while, she believes in my good intentions no matter what and has no issues in just following my orders ;)

Indeed BV.. words are always the most important thing... even more important than a "material" gift.. the most precious gift ever is senseless if it doesn't come with the right words...

I'm really terrible at the whole seducing and flirting thing hehe! :)
I'm not a shy person but around a girl I like I feel like a little kid... I somehow still manage to act normal and even speak a few lines and even a joke now and then but I can never bring myself to ask someone out

lol did walk up to this one girl I fancied in school once but never spoke to before at the train station when the whole train schedule was mucked up and told her that, that was the train she needed. We got talking and became really good friends, then eventually she got a boyfriend and I told her by e-mail how I felt and I got an e-mail back which said she didn't feel the same way but wanted to stay friends regardless... So we stayed friends for several years until it just died out...

This is going to sound soooo cliche', but it really is the truth. Stop looking so hard.

I never had much luck in the relationship department - I'm in it for the long haul and relationships were long: 2-3 years, even engaged a couple of times. When last relationship didn't work out, I decided to stop looking and just go out and have fun. No committments, just really enjoy people and life. Just as I make that decision and implemented it for about six-months, I meet the man that became my husband. Completely not the type I go for physically - he's a blonde - never dated a blonde in my life and didn't want to - also military and conservative - sooooo not me. But, as I said, getting to know him on an intellectual level without any physical impedements was so refreshing. He was so not what I was looking for, but everything clicked and we knew it. Been happily married going on 12 years now.   I'll get off my sopabox now...
