I assume the xpac will fix the issue as well as this patch (after all, not everyone who owns this game and will be getting Awakenings has internet connection, so Awakenings will have to run for Origins as is)

Not sure what you mean there Curlain? Not everyone owns this game? You have to have the main game to even play the expansion

Between men and women there is no friendship possible. There is passion,
enmity, worship, love, but no friendship.
When a man has once loved a woman, he will do anything for her, except
continue to love her.
Long engagements give people the opportunity of finding out each other's
character before marriage, which is never advisable.
One should never trust a woman who tells her real age. If she tells
that, she'll tell anything.
Men marry because they are tired; women, because they are curious; both
are disappointed.
There is only one real tragedy in a woman's life. The fact that her past
is always her lover, and her future invariably her husband.
There's nothing in the world like the devotion of a married woman. It's a
thing no married man knows anything about.
Men always want to be a woman's first love. Women have a more subtle
instinct: What they like is to be a man's last romance.
Talk to a woman as if you loved her, and to a man as if he bored you.
Plain women are always jealous of their husbands. Beautiful women never
are. They are always so occupied with being jealous of other women's
husbands.

Life is too important to be taken seriously.

No Curlain you have to install it.... Here what they said into specs of the patch
Various changes have been made to code and resources to support the Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening expansion pack. Most of these changes do not affect Origins itself
If Awakening would fix the code there would not be a reason to make a patch before the game is realeased

I read it, but that doesn't mean that Awakenings won't fix the code issues relating to Origins when it is installed (I've never come across an SP expansion to an SP game yet that needed a patch from the internet to be installed itself), just that the patch fixes this issue and a number of others.
BioWare has always maintained when the issue was raised that you don't need an internet connection at all to play DA, it would be very odd if they changed this policy on one of their SP games now with Awakenings

When a man has once loved a woman, he will do anything for her, except

One should never trust a woman who tells her real age. If she tells

Men marry because they are tired; women, because they are curious; both
are disappointed. "blinks" i think this is lame as well
There is only one real tragedy in a woman's life. The fact that her past
is always her lover, and her future invariably her husband. Also dependant on the situation.. way to generalized
There's nothing in the world like the devotion of a married woman. It's a
thing no married man knows anything about. Also dependant on the person
Men always want to be a woman's first love. Women have a more subtle
instinct: What they like is to be a man's last romance. I kind of agree
Talk to a woman as if you loved her, and to a man as if he bored you. "rolls eyes"
Plain women are always jealous of their husbands. Beautiful women never
are. They are always so occupied with being jealous of other women's
husbands. That is more pathetic than anything LOL

Despite the fact I fin hardly difficult a player does not have an internet connection...

Therefore I believe
1) If you are going to fix the system with the installation of Awakening you would need no patch before
2) If you are not going to play awakening you don't need to prepare the system.. therefore you wouldn't need the patch
So if you are going to play awakening the patch is needed

I still doubt those conclusions, there are actually allot of people who don't have really have access to the internet for various reasons, often financial reasons (particularly one needed to download a patch to their game), and use internet cafes etc for such things.
It would be very odd to require a patch from the internet to run an SP game, and pretty d**kish move of BioWare to treat those of their customers that way. So based on the belief they wouldn't treat those customers that way they wouldn't do it (and that Awakenings xpac will deal with any needed issues when it is installed)

The pasta I use at home is made by Barilla. I don't know where you live, but if you are in Europe, you can find it most any food shop. Key to preparing pasta is to boil plenty of water, add lots of course salt when the water boils, then the pasta. Do not over cook!!! Overcooked pasta is terrible... Most pasta shapes cook within 8-10 min, finer shapes 5min...
As for sauces and the like, it can be as simple as olive oil and hot peppers, or sautéed fresh tomato, garlic and fresh basil, or pancetta (bacon) and egg, or speck and tomato with cream and nutmeg, or a more complex ragu of some sort. Also, tuna and tomato is very nice...
Find yourself a good authentic Italian recipe book, or check on-line various food forums, etc., and try some things. Then, you can vary as you see fit.
