To be fair. they did tell you what the game was about. I think we just didn't believe them that it would be so lame. I think the best part was the end battle and it seemed to have potential from there, but it was so badly received that it fizzled. Plus, I understand Atari is having "issues."
My total overview of SoZ was not terrible. Either was my review. I think it was a great package of bug fixes and tools for modders. My fun factor was missing, but the technical overvew did well.

Issues??? They are being sued by Hasbro ....
I never got past Chp 2 in the NWN2 OC, bought but never played MoTB, did play through SoZ as lame as it was ...
I guess this tells you what I thought of NWN2 ... It is no longer installed on my computer..

Ah, you should have played Mask of the Betrayer, it was a great story with some interesting characters, the best of Obsidian's NWN stories

I was unable to see the end battle.. My gameplay ended when I went for the first time into crossroad keep and there they tell you had to implement a commercial network etc.etc. It was enough to me !!

I played it through once - kept thinking "this has got to get better." Never did. Disc is in its packaging collecting dust.

My plan was to carry over a character from the OC into MoTB, but as I mentioned, I could not get beyond chp 2 ... Boring story, crappy implimentation, buggy game... I kept hoping each next patch would improve things, but they never did ...

Indeed.. it was quite horrible...
LOL I am reading your review...
"If you are the sort of person who lives for a deep story where you can immerse yourself into a world of interesting, dynamic characters; be thrown off by unexpected twists and turns; die to see where the plot will take you next, and perhaps even have someone you can flirt with, then this is definitely not a game for you"
you are my hero !!!

Sure - that happens in malls everywhere. Go do a little shopping - must kill a horde of ghouls in between the VIctoria Secret and Bath & Body Works - finish some shopping and have a refreshing beverage at the Food Court.

I think I was lucky with the OC. I never got all these bugs many suffered. I guess it was system touchy.. The only one I had was the follow bug. Which was totally easy to work around.

After many D&D and similar games I thought this what an adventurer was, we're just armed merchants who are more aggressive in our acquisition of goods
@Max - yeah I guess everything is a matter of opinion and differing taste, one guy's masterpiece is some else' junk an vs versa

I had a machine well beyond the recommend specs... Apart from terrible load times, it ran ok with lots of high graphics selected. Prob was the crappy D&D impelimentation .. You need mods to fix everything - AI, spells, talents... Anyway, I gave up with it once Witcher came out, then FO3 came along and the rest is history ...
