Of course, though i have to tell you that i can't play on highest resulution. Resolution is 1280X720 (16:9), medium details (that is, i have eyecolor and blood staints).
I just bought a package cause i'm a gaming nerd, not a computer nerd. I have an intel i3 2,99 Ghz, 4 GB memory, GeForce GT 230 1024 memory and i guess that's what important?
Don't know what you consider cheap, it a good amount below a thousand dollars, but still expensive for me. But making a living with writing without a working PC is like...
Do you know what is the real problem? Even if you buy the most powerful PC you won't be sure that every game will work.. I read over forums of people who had 4 processors and in order to play DA:O they had to run it only on 2 cores.. because the game crashed... Other people who had last version of the most powerful graphic card ever, and in order to play the game they were forced to downgrade the video card !!!!
Playing a game on a PC is always a great question mark, and know before playing it if it will work fine or if you will have problems and what problems is just impossible...
Under this point of view for games consolles are much more better.. On a consolle you know that you buy a game and it will work .. but I really don't like playing on consolles, especially RPG Games..
Well, i played DAO on XBox first. The graphics are just not as good, the gameplay is a bit different and the fights are less tactical since you simply can't copy the possibilities of a PC system.
And the videos are shorter. Not much, but for example in the mage Orgins at the beginning of the Harrowing, there are one or two seconds missing in the vid and one dialogue line. Not much, but stil. Guess this is better on PS3, cause they have Blue Ray and are forced to use the rather small standard DVD.
And the epilogue is shorter, only for the companions on XBox (you can't install game files on console, so impossible to keep track of everything or everyone, or Shale, as she is only dlc).
To my experience, the PC edition of DAO is the best whereas ME 2 is much more designed for console controls and plays way better on XBox than PC
Edit: oh, and DAO is generally pretty processor heavy, so IF you buy a new rig for DAO, take a good one.
