i don't dislike Zevran. Well, i initially did, but not anymore.

I just decided my human noble can't trust a man who was hired to kill him, who openly admits he likes and has fun in his work and who frankly tells you that loyalty is an interesting concept that has no meaning at all to him.

Not a good way to convince someone you just wanted to kill to spare your life and keep you in his company.

So i decided my noble couldn't trust these guy and therefore solved the matter once and for all.

For me, Zevran is an interesting character, but from all companions, has the least reason of all to be trusted and taken along, from a realisitc perspective (assuming your Warden does not know there is a website on the internet where he is listed as party member).

And Morning/Good day Max

ah but if you further the conversation with him, he does tell you he is a very loyal person. A job is a job though!  lol

Have you ever done the crows quest?   I always do!  except once. I become a newbie assassin all to get one meaningly vote at the landsmeet

:D

oh..here less inches are enough to block anything. You have to consider that many streets are not cleaned, only the most important. Therefore the traffic become a nightmare. I had to spend 2 hours this morning to go to work, and in the afternoon exit from office 2 hours before and spend 2-3 hours to come home.... 5 hours in traffic just for 4-5 hours of work? No thanks !!!

ewwwy  that is terrible!

This has been one of the snowiest years here. It was none stop for weeks. Although, I do live just 5 hours from the Canadian border and near Lake Erie. So meh.. It is expected.

I liked the crow quests actually, all my characters tend to do it, cause nearly everyone they send you to kill is someone who is your enemy anyhow (servants of Howe and Loghain hunting down Wardens, Howe's servants etc) or they are dangerous brigands like the Qunari mercenaries.  So the Crows were very thoughtful with that quest, you never really are asked to questionable quests, even your more upstanding characters can get right behind it :D

Good morning Stealthmaster..  :D

And yes, there is also something about that naughty factor of a temporary assassin that makes it fun!   lol And no one minds aside from Wynne. Just don't take her when you make the deal   lol

I do the cropw quests only when it fits the character. I try to roleplay them a bit. My female elven rogue has no issues, but my human noble, last son of the Couslands, working as an Assassin? Not really, so i killed that Crow guy in Denerim this time.

The only one i always treat the same is Vaughn, regardless of what i play. I ALWAYS leave him in his cell down in Howe's dungeon no matter what, he deserves no better.

And you don't need neither his vote nor that of the Crows, there are more than enough quests to win the Landsmeet nevertheless.

I always kill Vaughn, I just talk to the elven prisoner first so I have a good idea what he did, so that it still works in RP terms :D (obviously he's long dead with all my city elf Wardens :D)

Edit:

And I agree that you only kill bad guys in the crow quest, makes things easier for all my characters to choose :)

Oh here's another review of Awakenings, a bit more positive then the last:

I cannot know it before. Therefore my character will always refuse to work for a guild of assassins..
as long as I didn't take a couple of quests from Circle of Mage because they didn't convince me too much... Posted Image

and btw.. do you REALLY want to know the reason beacuse I didn't recruite Zevran? I never told it before...

I don't know, watching the helpless anger and fury in his face when you tell him he can rotten in there cause no one will be missing him is priceless

Zevran is interesting character who isn't what he first appears to be (heartless assassin etc), he's worth giving a shot on some of your playthroughs (he's also a very effective character built right)

"Bows"  finally! someone else who sees what I did!   yay!!!  :wizard:

I just can not kill Zev.. EVER..  I also can not stand to romance him.  lol  I did once. Eh.. it was okay'ish. I usually play him and Alistair together for a bit, just for kicks.

I guessed right away that he could have been recruitable. Since you were able to wake him up and talk to him.

I personally see no reason "not" to have all the companions. If for no other reason, personal quest etc give xp!!!   "loves xp" It does extend the game quite a bit too.

the reason why I didn't recruite Zevrain:

because when I talked with him for the first time, after he tries to kill me I asked him something "and what would you do for me?" he answered something which was sexual-related.

Well my HFN is not only a good merciful character but she is also an HIGH-romantic woman... therefore she hates roughs and plebeian manners !!! Therefore she just refused to have such a ill-mannered guy with her...

Depends on my character whether I do these or not! :) My knights in shiny armor, never do these since it goes against their character. My not-so-spottless characters mostly only see the shine of gold! :) hehe

don't you think that's a bit harsh? If every woman kills men for rough and plebeian behaviour.. oh boy, thinking about my high schools days, i would have been dead like... let's say many times

I can see how that would happen, I knew Zev was recruitable thanks to the trailers, but it would be easy otherwise to think he was just someone to interrogate and therefore decide it was safer to kill him rather then let him live

@Twiggles :D yeah I find him more interesting the more playthroughs I've done, he has a good friendship path with your Warden (haven't romanced him yet, but it's not really a problem shifting it to friendship level with him).  In most playthoughs now where my Warden survives Zevran is one of the few still with my Warden post epilogue

Yep! He likes the idea of hanging with the GW's as well.  If you are his romantic interest. Even more so..   He "stays" rather than stays for a time....
