don't you think that's a bit harsh? If every woman kills men for rough and plebeian behaviour.. oh boy, thinking about my high schools days, i would have been dead like... let's say many times

So far... only my city elf male rogue slit Zevhrans throat, simply because he was no amused with the assasination attempt... My evil mage lady kinda liked him and considered him a possible bed fellow and therefore took him along! :)
My not-so-nice warrior that is trying very hard to marry Anora ... he hasn't met him yet but I'm not sure what he will do, considering he considers elves nothing more than servants he might be very annoyed that one tried to kill him... We'll see! :)

and we are not talking 'bout "every" woman but about a noble woman, who I presume has been bringed up with a certain type of education... even if she is a warrior... she fights with grace !! hehe!!

The first time I played I killed Zevran...then my friend told me he was recruitable. And I was like...."oh..."

I can see how that would happen, I knew Zev was recruitable thanks to the trailers, but it would be easy otherwise to think he was just someone to interrogate and therefore decide it was safer to kill him rather then let him live

@Twiggles :D yeah I find him more interesting the more playthroughs I've done, he has a good friendship path with your Warden (haven't romanced him yet, but it's not really a problem shifting it to friendship level with him).  In most playthoughs now where my Warden survives Zevran is one of the few still with my Warden post epilogue

First play-through I knew he was recruitable also, and I did ... Then immediately regretted it!! My major hate of DA:O is the voice actor for Zevran - that fake accent is like fingernails drawn on a chalkboard to me ... I kept him around to do his quest and the Crows stuff but hated the convo's soo much. I used gifts to avoid convo as much as possible ...
I have not yet reached his 'entrance' yet in my other play-through, but will most likley kill him on the spot so I don't have to put up with the terrible accent ...ugh!

The guy that did Zev's accent is not that bad. However... it does have more of a mexican spanish accent than Spain spanish. Which is too bad really. The Spain accent is much nicer.. Being an American... I have heard the Mexican accent all my life. He is fairly dead on with it.

Max, every woman is a noble regardless of birth and deserves to be treated like one. ;)

Depends on the upbringing and the person I guess... Some of my nobles are brought up well but there are also a few that are huge snobs because of it, my last evil warrior considers himself a king and considers all lower class humans slaves or vermin only there to serve him.
He would fit right in, in Tevinther! :)

The one thing I find interesting is with Zevran and that Orliasian servant of Anora, they speak the accent (or try :D) of the area they are from.  However city elves in Ferelden talk with the elvish American accent, which is right for the Dalish but you would assume that Ferelden elves (the ones living with Ferelden humans) would speak with a Ferelden accent, just like city elves for elsewhere speak the accent of their homelands

This is not what I was meaning
You have to consider the DAO must be considered set in a medieval society...
therefore I just image that a cousland femal noble should have high probabilities  to be bringed up with a kind of education which foresee some manners...
Just to give you another example.. My HFN when meet someone always present herself saying
"My name is Tisifone, I am honored/glad/nice to meet you" because this is the most kindly and well-educated way Posted Image

Liso, I spent 4 months in Mexico, also spent a month in Califorina ... had a GF from there .... Also been in Costa Rica, and Colombia and Spain .... Believe me, that 'thing' that Curry does is nothing like anything I have heard before ... It is simply dreadful, and shame on Bioware for not finding a voice actor with Spanish or Italian background to do it properly... Load of them around ....

I have often wondered that as well Curlain.. Why do the city elves not have the BBC English accents too?  hehe  I know they are segregated, however, it makes no sense to sound like they are from entirely different lands.

particularly since they are supposed to be slightly freer in their segregation then say in Orlais (where they definitely have Orliasian accents despite terrible segregation problems)

.A HUGE difference between being in Mexico itself and Cali for that matter. Which they barely deviate from the true Mexican accent. However....  come up in my area.. Their English sounds very similar.

ChiliPepper. I am fairly well traveled also. Zev was not THAT bad.   Jon
Curry may have not been a perfect choice, but I do not feel he was terrible.

BTW.. just a thought... Thadus is not a real world. The lands are not defined to have spanish, french etc... they are Orlias, Antivan, Ferelden etc.. So any accents in game may sound like this or that.. However... what does it matter? Really? Fake fantasy lands.... fake fantasy accents And that's all I got to say about that! :P
