Since the new patch! I thought I had no issues! "shudders more"



I just made Alistair King. I am playing my Male City Elf. Alistair just came up to have the "we need to talk" speech. As if my pc was his love interest! WTH!!!??? Ya know... that just really made me wanna exit and pretend it never happened!!!!

Well, there is a quite popular and convincing theory they are siblings, so... thinking of a possible combination of the Dark Ritual

Yeah I'm holding off the patch (I've downloaded it but not installed it) until I hear more about the issues.  Mostly likely wait until 1.03b or similar

I have killed him several times...it really depends on my character.  Although I have less trouble with him than with Morrigan, when I'm playing a female.  Nothing I do seems to meet with her approval so she stays in camp a good deal of the time.  Luckily I don't need her with me to do her personal quest.  Much different on my one male playthrough.  Then I really came to appreciate how deep her character is as well. 

My HF ranger/assassin archer had no problems with Morrigian... Approval got high pretty quick and stayed there. Early game I used wimpy Wynne for healing, but once I gave Morrigan Spirt Healer and the healing spell line, she never left my party... I dumped Alistair right after getting Shale and went with Sten, then Oghren.
I did Oz, Forest, many side-quests, Landsmeet and all the final battles with Morrigan, Shale and Oghren.
I swapped out Shale for the Anvil quest, since I wanted the golems for the archdemon battle ...

Currently running a HM DW rogue and a CEF DW rogue ...

I went along with the conversation Curlain.   lol  But instead of talking him out of a break up..  I was understanding and told him he'd be a good king. There is one bright side to all this. At least the approval bar only says "friendly"    phew!

Yoikes...that is bad...and <insert expletive here>  I already downloaded the patch, just haven't had time to play the game yet.

Really? wow!  How the heck did you do that?  I went through that several times trying to figure out how NOT to let him take the final blow. He always refuses no matter what and died..   I had to leave him at the gates to achieve this..

You may be right...seems to me there is a mod that fixes a lot of the Alistair conversation booboos.

This is the first time he has ever done it to a male pc for me. He did do it once to my Dalish that was actually in a romance was Zev.. Never a male though!   Excuse me, I am still shaking from the whole experience.   LOL

Ahh  I see..  hmm not sure if he was or not when I did this.. but most likely not. I have always hardened him after since my first run through of the game.

You may be right...seems to me there is a mod that fixes a lot of the Alistair conversation booboos.

I have the dialog fix mod.. Seems they missed one!!   hehehe

He had no intentions of it anyway.   Morrigan has some plans.......  "smiles"   At least, I think she may. Just some elven intuition....

I don't use it ....

Not had any issues with it.. not sure why it would be unstable anyway. that really makes no sense by design.. Maybe the new patch nerfed it?

unless its a mod tweak but i definatly did the us not him and i had him with me
