GenX: referred to people in there 20's during the 1980's, difficult to be a GenX'er if born in 1981 ... 1981 was probably  the result of a wanna-be Gen-X'er in 2000 ..... I think the term GenY is now used for this ...

There was a babyboom here in the US after the Vietnam war as well. I also think the Gen X stated in my post "I copied off a google search" was considered for the US"

my parents were babies in the post WW2 boom.  EDIT..  Just before the US entered WW2. Sorry. They were both born the year the US entered WW2

My dad was a war baby as well .... from WW1 !!
He was born 1916, my mum 1920 .. I have their wedding photo (taken in 1945) in my photos on FB ...
