I barely remember them actually. I do remember this HUGE box with a TV and sterio combo my parents had. It had a player in it and they owned a few 8tracks. but by the time I got into music.. cassettes were popular.

Well, you didn't miss much.... Fortunately 8-tracks died a quick death ... cassettes were much better .. Although these are gone now as well ...
I never liked CD's, although quialty improved lots in the past 10 yeras ... and i truely hate mp3/4 and ipods.... this is the devils work ....

They also don't scratch or degrade over time which can't be said about many other music media.
