My character during her origin wanted so much to become a Grey Warden and was really disappointed when her parents didn't allow it... But after I knew about the taint, I get really pissed off

Hmm true heroism... I would consider this to be a vast opinion
Wouldn't accepting your post fate after the joining, trekking on and doing your best, be the heroism? Not because you "knew" going in.. Because you chose to take the duty regardless?

Very valid points. the US is bitter sweet imo.. However.. I don't want dead GW's in my next game LOL So must have that selfish side.....
The survivalist side always kicks-in. It took me 4 full playthroughs before I did the US. I needed to be mentally prepared for it. Silly, really as this is a game...it is a game, right?

Everyone else would have considered you as such, as the term "hero" is thrown about so carelessly. I'm glad things worked out for you, as I would have missed meeting you and sharing in your conversations. But, your scenario does illustrate my point. Note: my husband is a veteran of the Navy and I believe he has the same opinion as you, Max.
I did them though. for the RP aspect..
