@max your concerns are not without reason, but I think you have to stop listening to the most paranoid on the forums ^^ Bioware is a cash cow for them, encouraging them to turn up profitability for a more mainstream game is not something they would do lightly. EA may be greedy, but not completely retarded

It is of course important to voice your views on this, but not in a "omg conspiracy" manner. That will only make people ignore all sensible parts of your argument, or well in this case the dudes you quoted ;D The best way to make your opinion heard beyond the gaping mouths of the imbecile masses that flood gaming forums is through reasoning, comparing pro's and con's and then plain saying what solution you would prefer without holding the dev at gunpoint saying: "I WONT BUY IT IF YOU DO NOT COMPLY WITH MY DEMANDS!!!"

Maybe you're right... I'm high influenced by my hate for EA...
And now after some things I just discovered from main forum, which now left me unsettled if to be just a bit happy or to be still disappoined...

Just started playing Awakenings and the beginning is a lot of fun!  
However DO NOT sell all of your DLC items, some appear to have transferred with me. I kept only the "Harvest Festival Ring" which you get from The Stone Prisoner and I just noticed its in my inventory!!! 

Only thing I'm a bit annoyed about now is that I can't find my pre-order bonus items!  Wrote the store I bought them at so lets have a look what they'll reply!

I didn't read it myself, but i am tempted to try. My joy is solemly based on Donnie's comment. Yet, i have no clue what happens in that epilogue. I genereally hate spoilers, but i am tempted like never before to break that principle. Damnit.

@ Max MacFluffies. EA is just the money. BioWare has their creative freedom, as it was part of the agreement in the sale. We covered a lot of this in the podcast I used to be a part of. I do not even consider EA when thinking about Bioware, other than the fact BioWare how has lots more money to crank out more games )) which imo? Is not so bad aye?

Without spoilering anything I can say that if you read it you will be in my same conditions after I read the spoiler about Leliana......

Now you crushed my mood a little bit, the one who posted this said he jumped for joy. Well, as long as it is acknowledged and mentioned, and not in a bad way, that is way more than i ever had hoped for in Awakening and at this very moment, i do not feel miserable or ill at all. I seriously expected nothing, so anything, especially if it's not disappointing, is more than nothing

No I don't wanna crash your mood....
It really depends how you understand and interprete some words and sentence
In my case (for Lel) if I would interpret words like "maybe that..." or "someone said that...." as "yes it is so !!" I would be happy
If I would interpret these words as something like "It could be true or not..." I would be disappointed.....
Open doors may be good or bad....

I expected nothing else than maybe. You won't get a happy ending in a text box, that is bound to return in a new game you have to play for yourself. The text is just some kind of acknowledgement that your love story is not forgotten and something will be done so you can play it out yourself, and therefore, that is good news

Yes.. I agree.. an open door it's always better than a closed door.. It leaves you hope..
But what a pain now to wait again just to see if that open door will bring you somewhere...
And to be honest I believe you have more possibilities than me since I had already all in the first game....
btw.. if this can comfort us they are saying the worst faith is for *** edit for spoilers ***

You know, i have no issues with waiting as long as i know that i wait for something. The thing that was bugging me that i was waiting for something that might just never happen. If i know that something good will now happen (still didn't read the spoilers) in the future, i can put my mind at ease and wait.

Also don't forget, we will surely get new dlc of some kind, there is probably a sequel at the doorstep, and given the current pace, a second xpac is not completely out of the picture

Still if it hints at moar it is good enough imo, even if it may not come beginning next year but a lot later knowing that they plan to continue the story of the warden in one way or another is epic enough for me

Hehe nope, just you were usually the one we had to encourage not to be depressed after some depressing news came ^^ Still not in a bad way, don't get me wrong, but it usually took a lot of "on the other hand..." to get you to cheer up a bit

err... well.. It's a lot of time I would like to say this to you.....but I had no courage....

In a topic about Dragon Age 2 she said that (from the informations she had from devs)

Dragon Age Saga will be a trilogy, but not a serie of 3 sequels like Mass Effect but 3 separates adventures, always in the same world but in different time/zone periods.. There will be no direct continuity in the 3 games....

Therefore if we have hope it's only for a future expansion....

I can't find that topic because is buried now but if you want you may try to send her a private message and ask confirmation about this thing.....

@Max: don't know about that. First of all, that information has to be true, there is always room for wrong information. And the dev's like to throw a bit of a doubt into the community.

Moreover, different place won't be so bad, not even different time, as long as it only flashes forward ten years or so.



And as i already said, as long as they wrap up this Warden's story, i am okay with them moving on. I don't need three games if they provide romance within the next xpac.



And on a side note: who says there will be no such thing as a time travel for your Warden. Or the second game goes back into the past, and then the third will return into the present, maybe ten years later than now.

Ok time for the preemptive strike ^^

That DA2 was going to be about someone else than the warden the dev's made pretty clear with the amount of downtalking of continuations with "dragon age is about stories in thedas and not the warden" so its not such a huge shocker. Still they had promised us in the epilogue that we would see more of morrigan and that the companions split up after origins but would see eachother again. This in it self can be seen as a gurantee that the story of the warden will be continued in one form or another, just that its highly unlikely that the warden is seen in DA2

Edit: Or ofc that as mosa stated they are just smokescreening to keep our expectations low. But we'll see when it comes, but giving up hope to see your origins romance again it is hardly a reason for :happy:
